...can install it. The HP is also very good brand. This scanner is very stylish. The resolution is high. But the disadvantages is that the scanner is a bit too thick. Where I first scanned a document and a picture i was amazed of the quality and the fast scan. If you are looking for a good scanner with a known brand you should buy this scanner. Advantages: simple instructions prints in glorious detail
Disadvantages: highlights lines, fade marks

flat bed scanners can be a joy or a nightmare when used. they can brilliantly pick out all the detail on your picture or ruin it with producing foldmarks when laid for processing. consider the use of white or black backing sheets when dealing with small pictures or 2 pictures in a group. when combining two letters into one make sure you have cut and pasted to be made 'invisable before printing'. the item is easily understood and instructions ... Disadvantages: Software is convoluted and unreliable, paper jams are difficult to clear

...with a dialogue "try reinstalling HP software", and needs a reboot - sometimes it scans and after conversion to pdf every page is blank - very occasionally it scans a document properly *If the sheet-feeder jams is says to refer to the documentation to clear it, which doesn't exist.
