Sales pitch all the way. A lady turned up in a very nice looking Mercedes, well dressed and very professional looking. I won't go into too much detail but she sat for over an hour doing my heading. Despite me knowing exactly what I want to do, how I want to do it, what/who/where I want to get a job after the training and despite the training I require only costing roughly £500 she insisted that I couldn't just take up the one training course.... Noooo, I had to take up 4 at a total cost of £3276. Yeah, right.
I played along with her and agreed that this would be a good route, then when she said about 'enrolling' me I (naturally) said I would need to discuss this with family before taking up such a large responsibility... She turned a little cold at that point. But okay, this was Thursday and she said it'd be fine to wait until Saturday at the latest as this would be the last point I could sign up for monthly payments.
At this point I told her it would be at least 2-3 months, more realistically 6 months, before I could commit financially & time wise. Her face dropped, and I wonder why? I think it might have been because she realised she wouldn't get any commission from this one; and she left within 2 minutes of me giving her MY time-scale.
They have no intention of taking on board your needs or interests, they might seem like they're interested but they aren't. They're in it for the money, and they won't settle for small amounts, it has to be nice big £2-3000s before they'll even consider enrolling you. Be as thick as you want, if you have the £s then you'll get enrolled ;-)
