I bought this massager as I have been suffering neck pain, and sore shoulders/upper back.
The 'rolling' massage action seemed like a good idea to get right deep into the tissue.
On arrival, this massager seemed bigger than I expected, and slightly heavier than I thought it would be, However, due to its shape, its very easy to hold, and I found I could use it across my shoulders on my own without difficulty.
The ... ...this lie 4 rounded discs, maybe 1 inch in diametre.
When the unit is switched on, the balls under the fabric turn (roll) around. When you apply this to your chosen area, you can press the massager onto the skin for as much pressure as you like. However, you cannot press TOO hard, or the unit will automatically cut out.
You have a dial on the end of the massager to change the speed faster/slower.

The massage area of the item is covered in fabric. Underneath this lie 4 rounded discs, maybe 1 inch in diametre. When the unit is switched on, the balls under the fabric turn (roll) around. Personally, I suffer with a type of inflammitory back pain, and random joint pain. This massager isnt really suitable all over my body, as it can be a little too harsh on areas that may be tender.
As mentioned, I do use it across my shoulders, but not on any 'bony' areas. Because this rolling shiatsu massager relieves tension and aching muscles, I often use it on the backs of my calves after a hard day, or after a vigorous exercise session.
It stimulates blood flow, and can help to reduce cellulite, and I've used it on my thighs simply to stop any cellulite appearing (I dont have any yet lol)
DONTS!
You must not use this on broken skin, or acne, or on any sore area, and if it hurts, stop using it! It must not be used on the stomach when pain is present. Do not use on numb or anaesthetized areas. Do not use on calves with unexplained pain Never use on the cartoid artery on the neck. Do not use in pregnancy until you have consulted a dr!
The only DOWNSIDE for me is that its a tad too large to be able to massage smaller areas, but if you want it for aching muscles on the arms and legs, then this a nice buy, and a change from other massagers.

Quick review of Scholl DR1109UK
I bought this massager after my son was born as I had sacral-ileac displacement when I was pregnant. At first it did the job it was intended for. After using it a few times it cut off after 3 minutes even if i did not use any pressure. Returned it and now on my 5th replacement and it still cuts off after a short use. Going to return it now and get another brand ...
