Last weekend I went to a wedding reception, and knowing I'd be on my feet quite a bit and with being in new shoe's, I thought I would go prepared. So, as well as breaking in my shoes by wearing a thick pair of socks (how unattractive) I also picked up a pair of Scholl Party Feet Gel Cushions. They had been recommended to me in the past by friends of mine, so they were something I had in mind to buy.
**** Where do I buy them, how much do they cost? ****
Purchased from my local Superdrug store, for one pair of gel cushions, I paid £4.99 which I thought was quite reasonable. I was expecting them to cost slightly more. They were easy to find, located in the foot care section.
*** What are they supposed to do? ***
Placed inside of your shoe, they claim to prevent the burning pain which you get on the balls of your feet which you can get from either wearing high heeled shoes, or being on your feet for a prolonged length of time.
*** Packaging ***
The packaging is very young and trendy looking - based on white and purple colours with a picture of a strappy high-heeled sandal. This isn't hard to miss.
Party all night, & shop all day being there slogan! Just how true would this be I wondered. I hoped, very true!
Easy to open packaging, inside 2 palm sized clear white cushions. One side is smooth, the other side has a few nobbly bits on etc, I assume so that it doesn't have a slippery surface when placed inside of the shoe.
On the packaging it states that these are ideal for all high heals and sandals. I put these to the test with my brand new pair of high heeled shoes.
*** Instructions of use ***
Instructions are clear telling you which way the gel cushion should face in your shoe. They are also shaped to fit into your left and right shoe, so isn't fiddly or confusing whatsoever.
*** Assembling ***
Once I put these inside my shoe, and got them into the right position, I found they were quite good at staying put. They didn't budge one little but. One size fits all as well, so no matter how big or small you shoes are you wont have a problem with them.
*** Put to the test ***
When I first put my feet into my shoes, the gel cushions felt very squidgy beneath my toes. I wondered if this was going to become an irritation. I also immediately noticed how tight my shoes felt. I literally felt that my feel were being strangled. But, put strangled feet against 'end of night extremely sore and painful feet' - well, strangled feet won hands down.
As the night went on, I forgot about my strangled feet/ squidgy feelings. And my feet had a good night too. I can honestly, hand on my heart say, I never once felt any pain in my feet. Now this is very very unusual for me, and never happens. So in all honestly, I have to say that yes, these gel cushions do work. They do exactly what they say they should.
I was pleased that they didn't move around/ curl up etc while I was wearing. I know I have had this problem with in-soles in the past, and was hoping it wouldn't be the case with the gel cushions, and luckily not.
My only downfall with them, is that because they made my feet feel tight within my shoes, my feet felt really hot all night. To the point where I very nearly just kicked them off. I am confident though that given time, my shoes will stretch to accommodate the gel cushions, and will therefore be faultless!
*** Keeping them clean ***
This is the really really easy part, a quick wash under the tap with some warm soapy water, and they were left fresh and new. Scholl advise that these are washable and re-usable ~ so they wont fall apart once submerged in water!
**** Do I recommend them? ***
I most certainly do!
I think £4.99 is a bargain for these, after all, they are re-usable so therefore you will get your money's worth.
Advantages: Prevents the burning sensation in the balls of my feet when I wear heeled shoes! Disadvantages: Can cause feet to sweat and become slippery
...been very pleased with the scholl party feet gel cushions. They are my rescue remedy for my tired sore feet which would always ache when subjected to the cruelty of high heels!! Since wearing the gel cushions, I can go through my days work without thinking of any pain in my feet, and I can dance for so much longer on a night out without having to take my shoes off. Thanks very much for reading my review. ...

Advantages: work well, last well Disadvantages: Quite expensive, slide about when you're feet are sweaty
I first noticed these when they came out, I’d seen numerous glossy adverts in magazines and advertisements on the television, and even my boyfriends mam, said they were great. I eventually got round to trying them last week. I’m a big fan of high shoes, I’m only 5”4, and I like a bit of height, so I always wear heels. Plus, my boyfriend is 6”3, and if I wore trainers it would look very odd! Every woman knows what its ... ...balls of your feet after wearing your shoes for too long. Scholl’s Part Feet come in an attractive light purple and transparent plastic packet. There’s a picture of a high strappy sandal on the front, which obviously indicates what they are suitable for. ...

Scholl Party Feet
**************
A little packet of scholl’s party feet was slipped in as a stocking filler for me at Christmas last year. My mum seems to have a knack at finding these little gadgets and gizmos that I never knew existed, but i’m certainly not going to complain… she usually gets things spot on! I’m just going to let everyone know about this little product and what a great little invention it is!
What are they then?

... ...and the words “Party Feet” with an illustration of a shoe. Inside you find a silicon-like chicken fillet thing, which is actually two little gel pads to stick inside your shoe. The idea is that when you’ve been out partying, in high heels, you can slip these inside for instant relief for aching feet. Isn’t that a peachy idea!? For all of us ladies who have wanted to take off our heels on a heavy night out, and throw them away, they’ve now invented ...

Scholl Party Feet
I bought these under recommendation of my cousin. She told me they were great to put in shoes and sandals and when I saw then at Bodycare I thought why not, I'll give these a try.
The price
They cost me £4 at Bodycare but I have seen them priced up to £7. Considering its only two bits of rubber to stick in your shoes they could be a bit cheaper but all footwear insoles are expensive so it's not too bad if they actually worked. ... ...It comes in a plastic package that you can do up again so you can store them in there when you're not using them. It's got a picture of a high-heeled sandal on it with Party Feet in purple fancy lettering next to it. Under that, it says Invisible gel cushions. Help prevent the burning pain in the balls of your feet. Party all night and shop all day. One Pair. Ideal for all high heels and sandals.

...a small plastic container, with Scholl Party Feet on the front. One pair in each packet. They are intended to help prevent the burning pain in the balls of your feet by providing invisible cushioning.
When you take them out of the packaging you peel the cushions off the protective film, insert in to the front of the shoe smooth side down with the pointed end facing the heel. At a cost of approx £4.99, depending on where you buy them, you may think that that is on the expensive side but when you realise that they can be re-used and washed it isn't too bad, considering that they can help prevent you looking like a drunken woman and you are stripped of your cat-walk strides!
I do have to say that I have never used them with strappy sandals yet but am not really ...

Advantages: Softer feet, smells good Disadvantages: Looks disgusting
Not one for pampering my feet EVER, after my awful experience of pre-Christmas frivolity (explained in my review of Scholl's partyfeet) my feet were really, really in need of some TLC which came as a huge shock to them!!
I asked around and a few friends have used Body Shop's Lemongrass Deodorising Foot Polish or the alternative Peppermint option. Not being a huge fan of peppermint, I opted for the lemongrass.
