A little packet of scholl’s party feet was slipped in as a stocking filler for me at Christmas last year. My mum seems to have a knack at finding these little gadgets and gizmos that I never knew existed, but i’m certainly not going to complain… she usually gets things spot on! I’m just going to let everyone know about this little product and what a great little invention it is!
What are they then? ****************
A pretty understated little plastic packet, with purple squiggles and the words “Party Feet” with an illustration of a shoe. Inside you find a silicon-like chicken fillet thing, which is actually two little gel pads to stick inside your shoe. The idea is that when you’ve been out partying, in high heels, you can slip these inside for instant relief for aching feet. Isn’t that a peachy idea!? For all of us ladies who have wanted to take off our heels on a heavy night out, and throw them away, they’ve now invented our saviour! Yippee I hear you cry!
The Low Down *************
It is probably true that my explanation above is probably a little sparse, so I’ll just quote the packet, as it seems to put the words a little better than I have: “scholl party feet gel cushions provide invisible cushioning to help prevent the burning pain in the balls of your feet”
They are made from clear gel, are ultra slim and discreet. They have non-slip grip to stay firmly in place. They are also re-usable and hand-washable. Now I must point out at this point that I only have little feet (Size three) and the pads do not show underneath my feet when I’m wearing delicate little sandals, and also they do not fill up my shoes like insoles. As the pads are squishy, my feed compress them a little making my shoes fit as comfortably as usual.
To use the pads, you simply peel the cushions off the protective film and insert into shoe smooth side down with the pointed end facing the heel. It’s as easy as that!
So Do They Work? ***************
Yes, indeed they do! Although they may seem expensive (they cost almost £5) they are reusable, so it is money well spent! When you have a long way to walk in heels, or a night on the tiles planned, you will really feel the benefit of this product: having these little miracles inside your shoes alieviates the pressure that you can sometimes get, making for a more comfortable, and enjoyable night out. There have been many nights that I’ve just wanted to throw away my shoes because they’ve been so painful, but not anymore. Party Feet are a wonderful thing. I’m not really a high-heels girl. I much prefer my flatties, but there are times that a girl has to glam up, and it is on these occassions that you realise how painful high-heels can be.
My Own Opinion ***************
Since Christmas, I haven’t left home at the weekends without my little packet, and I even took them on holidays a few weeks again, as I thought my feet might swell in the heat and become uncomfortable. I suppose if you don’t spend much time in heels, they would probably be an unnecessary waste of money for you, but there is also an untapped market for these beauties! If you’re a hiker, then you might find that they’d be good for long walks, and sore feet. This is only a suggestion though! I’m too lazy to be a hiker, so I can’t test the theory! Party Feet do get the thumbs up from me!”
