I decided I desperately needed to invest in some kind of protection for my feet since I can always guarantee that after wearing high heels for more than half an hour, my feet will be stinging and I will be cringing with pain! Every girl should have the luxury of being able to wear heels (especially us very petite ones!!) so giving them up was not an option. So rather than spending a lot of money, rather wastefully, on blisterplasters, I brought these gel cushions in an attempt to stop the pain from occurring after seeing the advert on tv which made them look extremely appealing. I have not been disappointed with my purchase and have since brought another pack of gel cushions after leaving my original pair in Paris! In fact I have now started to wear heeled shoes at my workplace: part time in a supermarket where I am on my feet all day; only because I have something to prevent my feet from aching during an all day shift.
Comfort: I find these gel cushions very comfortable to wear. They are spongey and soft, yet feet do not sink into them. They are not gel in the sense that they are like liquid, more like hard silicone. One side of the surface is adhesive to stay in place in a shoe, you peel off some cellophane. However, after a few wears and washes, this stickiness tends to become less affective, yet they still stay in place because of the the material with which they are made from is adhesive.
The other side of the gel cushion is for contact with the skin of the foot and is therefore raised in areas to stimulate a relaxing sensation where they would perhaps be a stinging or aching pain in the ball of the foot when wearing heeled shoes.
Packaging and appearance: The gel cushions come in, what I think, is very attractive packaging: small and compact, with a girly appearance which is appealing to young womem. They look fun and innovative, which is much more appealing than the prospect of buying grey and boring insoles! Each packet comes with two gel cushions; one for each foot. The gel cushions themselves are clear and therefore do not look odd inside shoes, and even in strappy sandals where they would look obvious if they were coloured. One is shaped to fit inside a right footed shoe, and the other is shaped to fit a left footed shoe and it is very clear which shoe the consumer should put the gel cushion into. The packaging itself comes with instructions on how to use the gel cushions, however, to make it even simpler, the cushions themselves even have a mini diagram. They dont particularly smell great, just quite clinical.
Performance and durability: I find that the gel cushions stay in place very well, even after continued wear and regular washing. I find it very practical that the gel cushions can be reused and washed as it means I do not need to buy more pairs. They are easy to clean: just sponge with warm water. A disadvantage is that I find if I wear closed shoes the gel cushions can cause my feet to sweat because the shoes become tighter as the cushion is taking up space inside the shoe, and this can cause feet to slip inside the shoe, particulary if wearing tights.
Value for money: I do think these are very good value in that they work well for me and I would definitly rather wear them than not. However, I purchased my gel cushions from boots priced at £3.99, and while I thought this was a reasonable price, I would have liked more than one pair for that price. However, the fact that they can be reused means that one pair is sufficient for my needs.
All in all, I have been very pleased with the scholl party feet gel cushions. They are my rescue remedy for my tired sore feet which would always ache when subjected to the cruelty of high heels!! Since wearing the gel cushions, I can go through my days work without thinking of any pain in my feet, and I can dance for so much longer on a night out without having to take my shoes off. Thanks very much for reading my review.

Welcome! I bought these a while back and found that on long walks they worked their way out of my shoes. I tend to stick to Boots foam & fabric ones as they have a toe hole to keep it anchored in place.
