xxxxxxxxxx Updated review xxxxxxxxxxxxx
When i first joined cioa a few weeks ago, I wrote my first review on Scholl Party Feet. It was a very poor attempt, and I got a lot of S.W.H.'s for it. But I took the advice of all you veterans and wrote some more reviews, with satisfactory results. Now that I am rather embarrassed by my first review I have decided to re-write it and hopefully redeem myself.. So here goes...
They are little jelly cushions that you place in your heeled shoes to stop the burning sensation you get in the balls of your feet (the little mounds just under your toes) when you've been wearing heels for a long period of time. Most women, or men who like to wear heels for that matter, will know what I'm talking about here. The pain from this is excruciating and I often found myself walking barefoot at the end of my 'girls nights out', rather that put up with the pain.
What did I think?....
Well when I first seen these in my local supermarket I thought 'wow, what a great idea'. I can't remember exactly how much they were to the penny, but the cost me just under a fiver. Now this may seem pretty steep for one pair, but as they're washable and re-usable i thought they would be a good investment.
Did they work?.....
Sadly, for me they did not. I slipped them into my very high heeled, strappy sandals and headed off for my night out. At first I thought 'wow' the comfy, jelly feeling under my feet was great. But as soon as I'd arrived at our first stop-off I had to adjust them as the had started to slip. I found this was happening all to often throughout the night, and it put a dampner on my night out, as I kept slipping off to the toilet to adjust them. I also didn't feel comfortable up dancing in them as I could feel them moving about. A rather disappointing let down for me.
I also tried these out with my boots. As I am quite short I wear boots with a large heel to my work, gives me a bit of a power trip, I'm sad I know. But by the time 3 o'clock comes my feet are in pure agony, now a lot of the guys I work with can't understand why I go through all this pain for a few extra inches, but I'm sure they'd go through a lot worse for a few extra inches elsewhere, if you know what i mean. ;-) That always shuts them up. Anyway not to be one who gives up after one try I washed my 'party feet' to try again. But to no avail, as every time I put my foot into my boot the little jelly thing, that promises so much, would scrunch right up into the toe. Again very disappointing.
A little info........
Scholl Party Feet are available from many retailers, even my local corner shop has them. And as far as I have seen, most places do them for just under a fiver. It's just a shame they don't work.
It looks like more barefooted stumbles for a taxi for me in the future then.. :-(
I wanted to redeem myself from my first awful attempt at a review. Hope I have a little. Thanx for reading.. :-)

Great review! I've always been tempted to buy these as after a night out my feet feel as though they have worn away from my heels. I won't be buying these now! Keep up the good work :)

Much better! I've had the same problem of these things moving about and just thought they weren't worth the bother. I might try unixgirl's tip though! Trish x
