I will definitely begin by telling you something about my good experience with Schuh store, but my main goal is to write about getting bargains through buying online. There's a Schuh store that is very close to where I live now, and I bought shoes and cleaners (for shoes) from it a couple of times, so I can start from there. The staff in the nearby store are all young, as I noticed, yet they are very helpful. I asked ... ...the size you want. Because Schuh sell numerous brands, the prices range from reasonable to expensive according to the brand itself, with Schuh, as a brand, being among the ones which are sold at reasonable prices. It is somewhat easy to find the shoes you are looking for, but what I prefer to do is to check the website www.schuhstore.co.uk because this makes things much easier.

I asked them about the type of cleaner I should buy, and because the cashier did not know, she asked a young man to help. From the questions he asked, I noticed that he actually knows what he's doing, and I appreciate getting help in matters I don't know much about. In addition to this, they are very nice and this is the kind of service that I expect from a good shop.
The store itself is somewhat crowded, yet the shoes are arranged according to the brand, and you can simply ask for the size you want.
I used the website frequently for it is extremely helpful, but I will not elaborate much on it. Suffice it to say that it can be very easily navigated. You can look for shoes according to gender and brand, and also you can sort the results of the search according to name, price, style etc. There's a special section for the items which are on sale, and you don't have to worry about going from one page to the other, as you can view all the products on one page. The search facility is very good, and also subscribing for the newsletter is helpful too, but you will receive it frequently, so if you don't like receiving an email almost everyday, maybe you shouldn't subscribe.
I never tried buying online before because walking to the store would be easier and cheaper, but this option is available (£2.99 for standard delivery and £4.99 for express delivery, or you can have your items delivered to a nearby store) and the good news is, you have 365 days to return an unwanted item. The last January sale was not really tempting for me; I felt that they offered a discount on everything that I was not interested in, which leads us to the following important point.
In 2005, Schuh started selling shoes at lower prices on Ebay. The positive feedbacks that Schuhstore has at the moment are over 100.000, and the offers they have are definitely worth checking. What they might be selling can be ex-display, slightly damaged, or even the last pair of shoes. Everything about the shoes is written on the page, so you needn't worry about cheating or anything of the kind. Examples of the things I saw can be either discoloured shoes, one that has no buckles, or even some scratches. I'm not daring enough to buy damaged shoes, but as I noticed from the biddings, many people are willing to buy them.
What I bought from Schuh was three pairs of new shoes, for you can buy up to ten pairs and still pay for p&p what you usually pay for one pair: £4.99 only. I received two pairs so quickly and the third was sent two days later. The first two fitted perfectly but the third one did not and I had to return it. When you buy from Schuh through Ebay you are given 28 days to return the shoes in their box with the piece of paper they send after you tick one of the reasons as to why you want to return the shoes. I simply chose that they didn't fit and sent them by recorded mail, and fortunately they were light so I paid no more than £3.65 for sending them back. Now, when you receive an item that is significantly different from the description provided, you get a refund for the £4.99 p&p, but when it's not their fault they refund the price of the shoes only.
Schuh received the shoes the very next day and they sent an email confirming this; I also received an email from PayPal later on that day to the effect that Schuh refunded the money, for they do not offer replacements. I was very happy for there was no hassle at all when I had to return an item, and I saved around £15 in each of the other two items I bought although they are new and there's nothing wrong with them whatsoever. The drawback is that you don't find what you want all the time, so you have to check Ebay frequently, but once you find something that you are really interested in, I definitely recommend buying from them.
Summary: Check Schuhstore on Ebay and get yourself a bargain.
...them off in the strong Schuh bag.
Overall my experience of Schuh was really positive. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful and the atmosphere was good. There were enough seats for all those trying on shoes (and some who were not) even though it was very busy. There are a wide variety of shoes, boots and trainers in all fashions and it different prices. There was also a sale, which had some very good reductions. They also advised me that ... ...were bought for me and they were a little too big)! The staff were once again very helpful and the change was made in 3 minutes and 45 seconds and this includes getting the new pair of smaller shoes! Go the Schuh staff!!!!
Thanks for reading (again) :D lesley ...

Advantages: great shoe range, original shoes, helpful assistants Disadvantages: some sizes can sell out quick
...back from my trip to Schuh I am now going to review it. Shoe is a very well known UK shoe shop which is based in all major cities. I know there are 4 in Edinburgh where I live but there only used to be 2 which means they are branching out. I also know that most places I have visited in the UK small and big have Schuh.
I love this shop because there is a shoe for everyone there are trainers from Nike, Adidas, Converse, Skechers, Vans etc to high ... ...male shoppers and in most Schuh stores I have been in they always get an equal half like the girls.
The price of shoes in here varies. There are no shoes really expensive. From the shoes I have looked at the most expensive I have noticed are £79.99 which is still affordable. The great thing here is that if you are a student you can get a 10% discount and if like me you have spent over £100 here that means at least over £10 off which is really good. ...

Advantages: You can buy any / every pair of shoes you can imagine Disadvantages: How do you get them all home?
I am confessing now - I have an addiction to shoes. The only treatment for this, is my once a week visit to the greatest shoe shop ever invented.
**The Store**
I first found out about this shop a few years ago on a visit to Bluewater Shopping Centre (my local). I had heard nothing or read nothing about them - so was interested to find out what they were like.
The bright green neon sign above the shop entrance, means you just can't go by without ... ...shoes on display for their shop front, which is an immediate wow factor.
If that isn't enough - when I set foot inside for the first time - I nearly fainted! I had never seen so many pairs of fab shoes before. They cater for all tastes;
**Women**
Many well known footwear brands are stocked, such as Red or Dead, Miss Sixty and Bronx. Also they have some less readily available brands like Fornarina and Evisu. Comfortable shoes are also plentiful ...

Advantages: Good quality, great variety, student discount, great website Disadvantages: Can be very pricey, stock not always satisfactory.
...just for rich people~*
Schuh made me realise that quirky, good quality footwear need not be confined to posh, expensive designer shops and the catwalk. Whilst the shop caters for mainstream tastes the shop pools together various brilliant shoe designers that I had not been aware of previously. Some of the brands they stock for women include:
~Irregular Choice~
I absolutely adore Irregular Choice, a company who produce shows that one could imagine ... ...shoes I ever bought at schuh and lasted me several years despite frequent use. They are still in rather good condition today and only need one tiny hole mendled in the heel. I am a bit disappointed, however, at the recent range of Doc Martins. The colour and variety seems to be less interesting and vibrant in comparison to past stock, although this may be down to the shoemakers themselves. Despite this, Doc Martins are great for those who enjoy alternative ...

Advantages: Good range, reasonable prices, continuous sales Disadvantages: NOt enough of them in the world
Schuh is my little piece of heaven on the high street. When a girl can't find clothes that suit her, what is she to do? Shop for shoes, that is what!!!! As the proud owner of nearly 30 pairs of shoes, I am ready to testify that Schuh is my alternative desert island disc!
Seriously though, this is a shoe shop based in Scotland that sells name-brand shoes from Acupuncture to Adidas, from Nike to New Balance, from Caterpillar to Converse. It also has ... ...shoes, I would say that Schuh win hands down. Their range of products is not a far cry from say Shelleys or Office but their prices are a fair bit lower. Also, they have the most fantastic sales racks that seem to be an almost permanent fixture. If you get their early enough you can usually find that pair of neon green snake-skin vecro-fastened steel-toe capped thigh-high boots that you have been hankering after for months, massively reduced from ...

Advantages: Nice Shoes/Boots, Good Quality, Student Discount (10%),Caters for those with Size 9 Feet. Disadvantages: Quite Pricey, Shops are too Small.
shops are quite small. Take a look at their website to see pictures of the shoes they sell.
***HOW DOES FAITH COMPARE TO SCHUH?***
Schuh sells a huge range of other brands; they have a larger selection than Faith. I do like Faith shoes very much especially their sandals...However, if I had to chose between Schuh and Faith I would probably pick Schuh.
Schuh also sells shoes for men, whereas Faith doesn't. Schuh's stores are also larger than Faith's. Due to the fact that Faith's shops are small, they can get quite cramped, especially during sales. I sometimes can't be bothered to look on Faith's rails during a sale because they are so squashed together and there are too many people trying to look. Schuh is also a busy shop, however there tends to be more space to look.
Schuh has a lot more staff than Faith due to the size ...

***WHERE IS WEST QUAY?***
West Quay is an undercover shopping complex in Southampton City Centre. It is a short distance from Southampton train station, and provides 4,000 parking spaces for those who wish to drive there. As with anywhere, the parking is fairly pricey, but not excessively so.

Advantages: Modern, lots of shops, food court Disadvantages: Gets very busy
West Quay is a huge, and I mean huge shopping centre in Southampton City Centre.
It is a fairly new centre so the design is modern and spacious, but at busy times this is a problem. Because the distance between shops opposite each other is quite a long way, when the centre is really busy it is almost impossible to get from one side to the other. This as I have said is only a problem at busy times, during the week it is absolutely fine.
It consists of 3 floors, 2 floors of shops and a food court on the top floor. The shops are pretty much what you see in every shopping centre, City or Town, but it is so much easier here as they are all together. No need to go walking up and down high streets to find the shop you want. This is epscially helpful when the weather is bad. Some of the shops include; John Lewis, Clinton Cards, Game, Schuh ...
