At first, the colour on the box looks very good and worth the money for the product. However, the application onto my hair was not really as easy as it had said on the packet. Infact, it was really... more

    Advantages Advantages Great colours.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Only 3 colours at the moment. Oh and it can be a bit messy!

Schwarzkopf LIVE Red Luminance Red Passion I have been colouring my hair now for nearly 10 years. I do go to the hairdressers to get it done properly but I need to ‘top it up’ as red shades fade quickly. I now get parts of my (dark brown) hair bleached for maximum effect. I am constantly looking for new brighter shades and I was very impressed when LIVE first came out. Well now for those who go for the red shades there is Red Luminance. These come in 3 shades: Hypnotic Red, Red Passion and Black Red. The Red Passion caught my eye in Boots and I assumed it was a new shade of the LIVE range. I ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to mix, apply, and a good effect

Disadvantages Disadvantages not as long lasting over bleached hair

I hate my natural hair colour. It’s so boring and normal. Well, I say I hate it, I can’t really remember what it is as I’ve been dying my hair red since I was about fifteen. I started out dying it just a brown-red, and progressed from there to full-on pre-lightened hair, and then garish red/pink shades a day later. I’ve never been one for temporary or semi-permanent dyes, as the only couple of times I’ve tried them, I’ve liked the colour so much I haven’t wanted it to fade. My hair doesn’t absorb colour very much, resulting in colours not lasting very long anyway, and with my hair being short ... more

I’ve always been ‘scatty’ as far back as I remember. What I haven’t always been is ‘red’..as in a ‘red-head’! Oh, I’ve been plenty of other colours! ‘Dizzy blonde’ ‘mysterious, ethereal gothic black’, and a variety of shades in between, pink, green, plum. Highlights, lowlights, etc. However I think I have finally settled on red as my chosen colour! I did say ‘think’!! It does suit my colouring, whereas with hindsight I realise the blonde made me look like Courtney Love on a bad day (apologies to you-know ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages hard to apply if you aren't usd to the nozzle.

So I had to dye my hair a normal colour, as I work in tesco's! But I still wanted it to be a bit different. So I thought a nice red shade would be suitable. My friend dyed his hair a lovely shade, like Ariel's from the little mermaid. Anyway, he took my to the place he bought his from and they had rows upon rows of hair colour. I picked a slightly darker one than his. It was Scwarzkopf Live Luminance in L38. Packaging The product comes in a blue box with Live Luminance written in silver on the front. It has a picture of a model with one half of her hair dark brown and the other half red. On ... more

WHAT DID I DO? I dyed my hair bright red. WHEN? Today. Just now, in fact. WHY? Well, I fancied a change. I have been blonde for the last two or three years and I was getting bored. On a heavier note, since being diagnosed as suffering from depression, I have been trying to work out what makes me happy. This was why I ‘came out’ as being bisexual on Ciao and Dooyoo, why I wrote my ‘hardest opinion’ piece and why I wanted to dye my hair. SO WHAT DID YOU DYE IT WITH THEN? I used Schwarzkopf Live ‘unlimited colors’ range (Bloody American spelling!) and the shade ... more

I have long thick hair so how many Schwarzkopf Live Hair Colour boxes will i have to buy? Only the one?HELP!

I'm in need of some good hair colouring products, I've heard that this brand is brilliant!! But how many Boxes of Schwarzkopf will I need if I have long thick hair? My hair length comes to about the centre of my back and it's so thick!! I haven't got any hair extensions. I have a friend that used Live Colour XXL, she has thin hair and she finished the whole bottle of that Hair Dye, I'm just wondering would 2 Bottles of Live Colour XXL be too much
