Foundation Trilogy

Advantages: Great sweeping plot
Disadvantages: none

Some of the best books i've ever read. Just the sheer sweeping scale of what is covered in the books is genius. The characters are memoralbe, unlike most books whos characters you forget the next day. The plot to save the universe from complete destruction is one of the most over used plots ever concieved but Asimov writes so it compelling and fresh, not dry and cliched. Hopefully some who will read will understand the thinly veiled religous imagery ...

Advantages: A challenging and interesting read

Review of Time Enough For Love - Robert A. Heinlein

An important and hilariously funny book. Read it.

Advantages: It is by the late, great Douglas Adams
Disadvantages: Difficult to find in my bookshop - wasn't sure where to look and had to ask an assistant.

This is an inspiring and truly great book, told with Adams' trademark quirky sense of humour. This book is partly great travel writing, partly natural history, partly brilliant comedy and partly committed environmentalism. Never let go!

Advantages: A very good read. 2nd book in series
Disadvantages: Not to everyones taste

Review of Deepsix - Jack McDevitt

A morbid sense of Science

Advantages: Good indepth/thinking novels
Disadvantages: Perhaps too much detail for some

I’m one of those people who tend to like quirky but mellow entertainment. My humour tends to be dry and I can find enjoyment in sad stories.
