Buying the farm

Advantages: An entertaining read.
Disadvantages: Somewhat slower than previous book.

Advantages: A very entertaining read.
Disadvantages: America to the rescue (but the authors are American)

Advantages: A great oldie science fiction story. Terry Pratchett likes it.
