Restaurant and galaxy book
Advantages: funny story, very well written Disadvantages: no disadvantages
...because I feel they are the chief books of Trampers to the galaxy. The CBOTTG are books that when the words are read the writing marks you in a thrilling and funny way. I never cause an almost terrible thing to happen like the reading of the Hitchhiker books to pass from my life. That is a most unverifiable thing I would be doing. Although the writer of this book was reputed to be a crotchety writer, I found his ideas were very substantial. His books ... ...With the five novels, belonging to the Hitchhikers guide trilogy, Douglas Adam gave his life to writing them in a very different way to other books which was to first begin in 1979 and to finish in 1992. The books have been read by millions of readers and they have been a very pleasant read, so I hope they will be read for hundreds of years. I am not sure, if future novels will ever be written like this but I had never once actually seen something ...

L.E.G.I.O.N
Advantages: QUITE A GOOD BOOK Disadvantages: Can be a bit 'Tecky'
...Brotherhood. They are officially Alpha Legion but they often have their own agenda to follow. They are currently on the world of Nurth and fighting once again in the 'Pacification Campaign'. They are up against overwhelming odds but that is something they are used to and Horus their leader will come up with innovative and surprising ideas to thwart the massive forces arrayed against them. They are backing the true Imperial forces but questions over ... ...influence over some of the legion and that in itself may tear the legion apart. Finally, What secrets do the natives of Nurth hold and hide, they must be careful it could be so vast as to destroy the imperial forces forever. A very well written book that has a great twist at the end. A real war novel which is gripping from the start and the plot races along with some surprises and a few old ricks used in the warfare side of things. This book is more ...

So long, and thanks for all the laughs...
Advantages: Easily the the most intelligent and well-written book of the Hitchhiker's series. Disadvantages: Little input from some of the best characters.
...the Earth here after being so unexpectedly blown-up in the first book?
On the way home, he hitchhikes (not surprisingly!) and is picked up by a robust ginger-haired man called Rufus. Nothing particularly odd about that, until Arthur glances behind him and looks upon the sleeping woman-of-his-dreams; Fenchurch (named according to the London station where she was conceived...) But, before he can find out more about her, Arthur is dropped off outside ... ...again.
At length, he returns to his normal life on Earth - his apartment is still there, his friend's are still present and well and the destruction of the Earth branded as 'something funny in the water' - nothing more than a mass hallucination. It also appears that it's only been a few months since Arthur Dent's mysterious disappearance. But Arthur knows better and goes about finding the exact location of the cave he lived in, in Prehistoric Earth. ...

DOUGLAS ADAMS - DIRK GENTLY'S HOLISTIC DETECTIVE AGENCY
-------------------------------------------------------
So here i am, sat awake at a stupidly late hour, i cant sleep, which is pretty much how every night goes, well i thought to myself, why not read a good book, so completly at random i decided to pick up one of my old favourites, Dirk Gently's holistic detective agency.
This is the first book in a trilogy which sadly never got finished ... ...fans didnt really take to Dirk Gently quite as well, this is a shame because there is actually a much more balanced storyline running through these books.
The main reason most didnt take to this is that it didnt contain any of the Hitch hikers crew, or happen in space, but what it does have is great writing and an interesting if a tad confusing storyline.
The story is about Richard Macduff, and a lot of strange things that occur around him, such ...

The Saga Continiums...
Advantages: Enjoyable, easy read which rewards with plenty of humour Disadvantages: Uses a little too many ideas from the show
...decided afterwards he would do the same. 'The Last Human' is the result.
'The Last Human' follows Dave Lister and the rest of the Dwarf crew as they try and navigate their way back into their own universe having picked up Lister and Kochanski from the Backwards reality. Having made a mistake with the navi-calcs, the crew find themselves to have passed through the omni-zone, (the point in spacetime where alternate Universes meet) and into the wrong ... ...writing flows very well and the structure of the book keeps the read interesting. Divided into three parts, at the beginning of each section there's some black and white artwork, which I thought was a nice touch. I've been unable to find out who drew this images, but regardless I thought they're a nice touch, not found in other Red Dwarf books.
The book itself is written as a self-contained entity, so prior knowledge of the Red Dwarf universe isn't ...
