An official Star Wars novel Advantages: Cheap to buy. Drawing of Ewan McGregor on the front! Disadvantages: Difficult to read in places, needs prior "Star Wars" knowledge ...Steven Barnes is an official Star Wars novel. It originally came out on hardback in June 2004. I was given a copy of this last year but it came out in paperback in June 2005 and a brand new copy costs about £6 on Amazon. Second-hand copies are also available. I found this rather long book very difficult to read but here is my interpretation of it. The action in the story takes place between "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" and "Episode ... ...Kenobi and Jedi master Kit Fisto. The basic plot is that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Kit Fisto lead a team of clone troopers to a difficult situation brewing on the manufacturing world of Ord Cestus. They have gone there because they have found that a new Jedi-killing droid is on the market and is produced on Cestus. London as you never see it. Advantages: Dark entertaining read Disadvantages: its not everybodys favourite ...it, these days. Closer to Heaven Advantages: Great character building Disadvantages: A little slow paced for my taste Fantasy and science fiction are genres that mesh well together. Some authors have written successfully across both genres, but not usually in the same story. Jaine Fenn has managed to combine both in one book and it's an interesting read. One night, a stranger is found lying unconscious in a bog just outside the village of Dangwern.
