Something's in the water and it is'nt limescale
Review of Invasion - The Complete Series (Box Set) by dancomp

Advantages: Fantastic performance by William Fitchner
Disadvantages: Slooooow to start

Invasion is a series penned by the scriptwriter behind the acclaimed American Gothic and is set in and around the small coastal Floridian town of Homestead, on the borders of the everglades national park. The series has a number of recurring characters, but centers about the awkwardly-extended family comprised of latino Park ranger Russell (Ed Cibrian) and his new wife Larkin (Lisa Sheridan), a local news reporter. They share custody of Russell's ...
...new and disturbing. Invasion rewards your initial investment and by the end of what may very well be the only such season as some executive made the idiotic decision to put it on at a time borderlining Lost, it builds to a thrilling climax that also manages to open additional plotlines that ask even more enduring questions. Acting is uniformly high, but the highest accolade goes unreservedly to Fitchner for his performance as Tom Underlay, the singlemost ... Read review

Stargate S.G.1- SERIES 3
Review of Stargate S.G. 1 - Series 3 - Complete (Box Set) by buckydaman

Advantages: Charactor classics
Disadvantages: you want more

...no-one writtern a review on stargate season 3. I am disapointed on the fans (shame on you) haha. I must say this is one of my fav boxsets due to the fact the writers concetrate on the characters which appeals to the veiwer that so much more, ok i will begin Standard intro: Stargate SG-1 is about an Air Force team that, through the use of a large metal hoop found in the Egyptian desert that opens wormholes to other gates on different worlds, is exploring ...
...the Fire "Previously, on Stargate SG-1…" Hathor has managed to capture Jack, Sam and Daniel (but not Teal,'c though she might have rejected him because she couldn't mess with his mind as easily.) She almost had them convinced that everyone else on the team was dead and that s/he held vital information from the last mission, but our heroes aren't so stupid. Oh, and Daniel has a stupid new haircut. On of the other teams comes across some information ... Read review

Klingon honour
Review of Star Trek - Klingon Set DVD by Timbo3107

Advantages: Some good strong Klingon based episodes
Disadvantages: Duplication of an episode from another themed box set!

...am a big fan of Star Trek and some of my last reviews have centred precisely around this subject, so are you sitting comfortably? Then I shall begin... ---Overview--- This is another of the themed episode box sets that have been chosen by fans of Trek, and from the title you have probably guessed that a Klingon or two are involved somewhere along the way. The Klingon are a tough race who value honour as the most important thing in there lives. ...
...This is one of the Star Trek mega-stories as it is revealed that the Romulan Sela is the daughter of the long dead Tasha Yar, this is explained with a link to the Yesterday's Enterprise episode from season 3. For me watching this was one of the better episodes as the crew knew each other by now and were used to each others presence, and in actual fact gelled together better than in the earlier seasons. Moving on to the DS9 episodes, Worf joined ... Read review

Parallel Universes! enough said
Review of Sliders - Series 1 And 2 DVD by xanderex

Advantages: Every Changing Locations
Disadvantages: Bit cheesy at times

Sliders was a great concept where a student scientist creates a sliding device where he can teleport to various parallel universes where its the same year but where certain events being different the outcomes in that world reflect that. I enjoy seeing where the gang end up next, and getting John Rhys-Davies to play as proffesor Arturo was just ingenius. You can't help but think your watching Lord of the Rings by mistake. The episodes get better ...
...any good tv series. Sliders isn't great with modern days special effects, but in its day it was right up there with effects and i still think its a great watch and will always be remembered as a classic. There are 6 discs which contain a total of 22 episdoes. There are also Bonus features such as the making of sliders, and a photo Gallery Audio commentary from the creaters is also a bonus option This film would suit people who like adventures ...
