...a lot to the dvd. I would say they are less enjoyable than the TV version (Torchwood Declassified/ Doctor Who Confidential.) Pitch Black is really the film that launched Vin Diesel's career (even though he was in Saving Private Ryan, who remembers him for that?), and for me it is still his best outing. Torchwood is the Doctor Who spin off for grown ups. This DVD shows the first 5 episodes of the first seriess, and a few special features. If you like Doctor Who and/or the X-Files, you will probably enjoy this. It is extremely cheesy in places but hugely watchable despite (or maybe because of) this. The character development during these episodes is good, Jack remains fairly enegmatic but I would say that is part of his appeal! If you are a Doctor ...

...I watched Pitch Black for the 2nd time just last night. It has an interesting story line, and even though I've seen it already, nothing prepared me for the frights. If you're looking for a sci-fi/ thriller/ action/ adventure/ horror film then this is the one for you! This film can be moderately gory. Frights are inivetable and garanteed.
