It's a very simple concept, but when i got the idea in my head, i found there is actually nobody else (that i could find) who sold a CD player for the shower/bath. There are lots of people who sell radios, but i've had problems with those before.
Essentially, this can play CD's, receive FM and AM. It works on either 4 C type batteries ... ...of jiggling, as i found out when the batteries ran out and my wife was about to have a bath), or a mains adaptor (not included, but i wouldn't use it anyway). For us, the batteries lasted nearly a year. The item gets used for probably 15mins day to play CD's. Obviously playing CD's will drain more from the batteries than just the radio, but i was very impressed with how long they lasted.

The item is really easy to use, and i can assure you, it is more than splash proof. I accidentally knocked it into the bath, and after drying, it still worked (but i wouldn't recommend doing this too often).
The sound quality is OK, not brilliant, but good enough for a shower and bath, and it's quite loud if needed.
It comes with both a wall mount hook, or it can stand on it's own with a leg at the back.
It also has a clock, which runs of a separate button battery. I personally find this the most useful part of the thing, so that you don't lose track of time when wallowing in lots of bubbles.
My son also loves it, as it will play him his favourite nursery rhymes during bath time, which i can assure you, calms him down and makes washing his hari a lot easier (he's 2).
The radio reception is acceptable. Our bathroom is internal so signal strength isn't that high. It works well enough for strong local stations, radio 1, classic Fm etc, but not for more distant weaker signals. As it doesn't have an external aerial, moving about or touching it can also affect the signal.
The mirror is also a bit useless. It's plastic and slightly warped, so i wouldn't use it for anything critical, but then i'm not sure what you need a mirror for in the bath/shower anyway. It doesn't fog up though, which is what the manufacturer claims.
The knobs and buttons are easy to use. I bought mine from Argos when it was on special for £30. I think it retails at £40. It's a bit expensive given what it is, and how cheap CD/Radios are these days, but if you like listening to music in the shower/bath, especially CD's, this is a great item, and hasn't failed yet.
