Advantages: Superb analytical and satirical programming Disadvantages: Make more of them!
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the mind of CharlieBrooker, and welcome to his spin-off of his successful cult critique show "Screenwipe"; "Newswipe" - but instead solely focusing on the world of news and current affairs. Something the show's predecessor skimmed over but never tore into as deliciously as this.
First aired in March this year on BBC Four, it's a fresh new programme that has been pleasantly received. Its six episodes have reached five so far (at the time of the original review), each one as superb as the last. It's main aim is to expose, satirise and emphasise the impact that rolling news channels have on our lives. From the obvious role of informing us of major news stories, to the apparent recruiting megalomaniacs that flounder on American news networks.

Advantages: A good summary of the news, very funny and smart Disadvantages: Not a long enough series!
CharlieBrooker is a British comedian, columnist and writer known for his, often surreal and rather sweary, satirical take on modern media. Advantages: Writing Style, Comedy, Looking at the past TV, Well written Disadvantages: May offened....some
With a ruthless literary assault on almost anything you may expect Dawn Of The Dumb to be a rather pointless series of rants by the Guardian writer CharlieBrooker from his columns in the paper. Yet you would have assumed wrong as this fantastically hilarious collection of articles written by Brooker seethes away with critical bitterness that would put even the sharpest tongued of people to shame. Published as a collection of articles in 2007 the actual articles date back from November 2004 to July 2007 broken in to 12 individual chapters based around TV shows and other writing on a vast array of subjects (split pretty evenly into TV for 50% and other subjects for 50% of the book).
In recent years Brooker has started appearing on TV with shows like Screenwipe, Gameswipe and Newswipe on BBC4 all following in the same sort of vein as ...
