Advantages: Quick, Easy, Online Quoting, Great Helpful Service Disadvantages: Not necessarily the cheapest obviously - ALWAYS shop around!
Screentrade - Not many people have heard of them and to be perfectly honest, before a couple of weeks ago neither had I.
I was searching online for quotes for my new car having just sold my old Corsa. Eventually finding Screentrade and thinking "Why not try it - whay Have I to lose?". I tried a quote for the following new car:
A Vauxhall Astra Arctic 1.6L Petrol P Reg. No modifications apart from upgraded Stereo which I transferred with my two front speakers and two back from my old car - This was covered by the stereo clause in the policy anyway so no big deal there.
Having checked with their quote it was the cheapest by a good £100 or so - unusual I thought - but went ahead with the quote anyway. After getting all my docs through and it all set up in super fast time (very very impressed!) I then had to change my details - My ...

As a young male driver it is often hard to find low cost good quality car insurance. However Screentrade were very good, there website provides live accurate quotes and also the ability to save you quotes and come back later ot look them up accept them or change your details. Very good experience with no problems until my policy came up for renewal all the renewals offered were well in excess of compertitors quotes and they even offered twice the direct price i got from one insurer. Maybe the good times have ended it does seem that possibly in the begining they were trying to fill there books and hence offering low prices but now they have some customers this is no longer necessary. ...

Advantages: Cheapest Quote (For lower risk drivers) Disadvantages: None so far
actually took about 2 ½ hours. Although the cover note turned up the following day, this I found quite impressive. Therefore I would recommend to at least check out the prices on ScreenTrade’s website for motor insurance quotes. While I cannot quote on the quality of service in the event of a claim, the policy I selected was with Cornhill, therefore I would assume it should be satisfactory as they are a household name. ...
