Step by step to getting a quote,
The first page is very simply set out which involves – “retrieve your quote” or “get a new quote” button don’t for get to tick the standard terms of agreement button.
The next page for “get a quote” takes you too a very easy to read and laid out details page. All you have to do is simple fill in your details of your self etc… this may sound like telling people to suck eggs but how many online companies insist on us filling out page after page of info??? This site is different all that is required is the necessary details ( all on one page)
Click on get a quote again and provided all info is ok the next page leads you too a even simpler page with four drop down boxes where you find your car.. easy!
Clicking on next gives you your quote!, Your quotes will appear in a nice easy to read box, giving the top two companies with the lowest quotes!, better still again unlike other on-line insurance finders the companies listed are all “known” companies , i.e Churchill, Norwich union, etc….
You can add or take away how much you want to pay excess and it will instantly update (no-2 mins whilst your new quote is calculated sign) Legal Assistance is optional and again you can un-tick / tick the box and the page will again instantly update.
You also get 10% discount for buying online too!
You then have three boxes, Continue online, continue on the phone or save details. The save details is self explanatory, If you wish to talk to someone in person you can then click on the “continue on phone” button where you receive a number to ring and a reference number. If you wish to continue on line you click on the button where you receive a full breakdown of the cover you require. At this point you can add any of the following items to your insurance.
Roadside Assistance Road Rescue Motor Breakdown Personal (Plus+) Cover None
Once again you can either click on” continue on phone” , “save details “ or proceed.
On proceeding you will have a full summary of your cover, clicking on Checkout, gives yet another easy reading page where your credit card details can be typed in. ( this site is 100% safe – I know I used it myself) Once typing in card details press proceed and you have your car insurance cover!! Easier than going through every single company one by one!!!!!
The whole process takes less than 10 mins (if you have broad band)
Your cover note comes in days and you receive an e-mail very fast ( within 10 mins) confirming all your details.
To retrieve a quote first of all you must have one, and is a matter of simply just type in your postcode and your e-mail address
As I have not had an accident for a while (fingers crossed) I am unable to say how good they are in terms of paying out they are, although I would presume that they would be rather fast as they were to take money off your hands. But then you would think that. hehe.

Recently I have purchased my motor insurance through screen trade, you would be correct in thinking that this was a price based decision alone. Although the policy selected does include a green card and courtesy car. However I tried a wide variety of sites, Quoteline Direct, Norwich Union Direct, Direct Line, Egg, Admiral, insure.co.uk, elephant.co.uk, Autobytel and the price quoted beat all the others. At the moment 21/1/2001 they are offering 10% ... ...The nearest quote was £20 more with Autobytel, therefore I would suggest when the offer is over they will be worth a try.
In addition the navigation of their website was very easy, the amount of information the user must enter is quite vast, but no greater than other sites. Although unlike Egg there is not the option of an estimate quote to start with, where the user must enter a small amount of details to be issued with an estimate quote. The advantage ...

I used Screentrade to renew my car insurance and saved money! My car is fairly elderly and consequently I always go for the cheapest deal I can find. Through my usual broker I was quote around £420 but with Screentrade I found exactly the same policy for £70 less. I signed up there and then and received my cover note within days.

Screentrade - Not many people have heard of them and to be perfectly honest, before a couple of weeks ago neither had I. I was searching online for quotes for my new car having just sold my old Corsa. Eventually finding Screentrade and thinking "Why not try it - whay Have I to lose?". I tried a quote for the following new car: A Vauxhall Astra Arctic 1.6L Petrol P Reg. ...online application when I bought Screentrade insurance (for 2005-2006), I made a mistake and selected 1 yr no claims bonus instead of 2 years no claim. I have mentioned this during renewal, and they verified it to be correct. But not much went regarding this. I too did not bother about it. Now, coming back to my renewal, when I fill new online application, my quotation on their website is £290/-, but best price I get from for renewal is £320/- Well, ... ...Screentrade is cheaper, if you have no plans to make any changes to policy for any reason. If things do not work in your favour, hang up the call, and speak to some other customer service person. This seems to be honest company!

You lot are going to start thinking I am insurance mad, but hey, I just like a challenge and to discover bargains!
Initially it was my Dad who challenged me to find him some travel insurance (I'm sure he has a phobia about computers) as I am always going on about how cheap the internet can be if you are prepared to shop about, and he had just received a quote for £40 which only covered him alone for a single trip to the USA.
Always up for a challenge, I put fingers to keypad and started surfing. I did go to a few companies who I knew offered insurance, like Prudential, and Egg and then the banks and building societies, but I wasn't really getting a much better quote. Then I spied a link to Screentrade.com, and went to their website. They actually offer all varients of insurance, and not just travel.

I have recently boaught my annual travel insurance and would like to let people know of a fantastic website I discovered. It is at http://www.screentrade.com/
At this site you can get travel, car and home insurance and what makes it so good is it does the comparing for you. All you do is answer some quick and easy questions and it gives a list of cheapest quotes.
Simple, effective and it works. I tried several other insurance companies and was offered some competitive quotes, when I went to screentrade I got all the options in one go.
I got the same insurance cover at around the same price but without the hassle of going to 10 different sites. It defenetly is worth looking at.
Once I placed my order I had the documents at my house the next day (lucky as I was leaveing 3 days later)

If you are like me and always looking for a bargain and to save those pennies, the following may be helpful.
For the past two years I have been using www.screentrade.co.uk for excellent quotes on buildings and contents insurance.
This year though Lloyds TSB brought out a deal that was just too good to be true. With their insuredirect scheme they are offering double the discount if your renewal notice is below their quote.
My renewal notice for buildings and contents with screentrade worked out at £104.49, which included a claim for flood damage. Insuredirect quote was £131.97 for a like for like policy, which was a difference of £27.48
Doubling this gave me a discount of £54.96, which brought my quote with insuredirect down to £77.01 for the year. They also sent me £40 worth of Asda vouchers to spend on my weekly groceries ...
