Dimmensions

Usually if having a tiny case, when buying a cooler the question to ask is, How big is it? Well with the shuriken you don't have to do this.It has a height of only 64 mm so it will fit any case, even horizontal ones.
But being this low in height can have other disadvantages.For example, the only way i can use the closest ram slot, is to fit the ram module first and then instal the cooler.

Cooling

Well,the performance is pretty good for such a small cooler.It will outrun your older box cooler many times but it will never be close to a heavy tower cooler.
In idle my AMD 630 has abot 30-31 degrees, and in full load about 44-46. The room temperature is about 24-26 degrees when i made the tests.
When overclocking to 3.5 GHz the load temperature reached about 54 degrees.

Fan

If you bought a cooler because the box one was noisy, this is the part you'll like the most.
It has an 100 mm fan with 13 blades and a 12 mm thickness. His rpm varies between 650 amd 2200.
In idle or small applications it will be very silent. When using the CPu to it's full capacity it will start to hear, specially the noise made by the aer moved.
You can't comapare it with a fanless cooler because it isn't one, but he is pretty silent, and if you're not a silent freak it will give you satisfaction.

I made some tests with a 120 mm fan and the performances were seen. In load, with OC the 120 mm fan gave me 5 degrees lower temperatures then stock one.

Conclusion

So, if you're not an enthusiast overclocker, or a silent freak and you need to replace the box cooler i recommend you to buy this cooler.
