Amcor DC800 Dehumidifier & Air Purifier

Advantages: Portable, dries laundry, filters air, multiple settings, cheap to run.
Disadvantages: Slightly awkward for emptying if you have long nails :)

We had a serious problem with dampness and an equally serious problem with the cost of electricity and the continual wet weather. With no radiators to help dry clothes, the tumble dryer was eating into the household budget. That's when I found out about dehumidifiers and how economical these can be, plus, they can be beneficial to your health. After much research, I settled for the Amcor DC800 Dehumidifier & Air Purifier in one. I got mine for less than £80 including P&P and it has been the best purchase I've made in 2008! Mine uses about 1 unit of electricity per day and I'm amazed at how quickly it got rid of the musty, damp smell in the house, plus it's great for sitting under the 'pulley' or next to the clothes airer. Sea Life.

Advantages: Educational
Disadvantages: Expensive, 14+ charged as adults etc

There are four Blue Reef Aquariums located in the UK: ~ Newquay ~ Porstmouth ~ Hastings ~ Tynemouth The latter one is approx 10 minutes drive from where I live. Formerly known as the Sea Life Centre, I've visited a few times on very wet days to amuse the nieces and nephews. - Admission Prices - This isn't cheap! So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish

Advantages: I did get to swim with a dolphin, Friendly staff
Disadvantages: Expensive, Small, Poorly maintained, Poor visitor facilities, Conditions for animals not great

put the opportunity of both of us swimming with wild dolphins out of the question as it would simply stretch our budget to the point where it would prevent us doing some of the other things we had planned for our trip. This was where the Sea Life Park came in, as an option to swim with dolphins that we could afford a bit more easily. "Is This The Way To Waimanalo?" = The Sea Life Park is located on the windward side of O'ahu on Makapu'u point, near the town of Waimanalo. It is easily accessible from the tourist hub of Waikiki via the number 23 bus (which is conveniently marked "sea life park", runs frequently and picks up along Kona Street) and will cost you a mere $2 for the 40 minute journey.
