The Seagate7200.11 is probably is worst hard disk there is. I have only had it for 9 months and it's broken. I will keep myself to be subjective when writing this review though - so there's no need to worry!
= the BASICS
The SeagateBarracuda7200.11 was released in 2008. It was the 11th generation of the Barracuda line of hard drives. It comes in 160Gb, 320Gb, 500Gb (mine), 640Gb, 750Gb, 1TB and 1.5TB. It runs on 3 disk platters and can be subjected to forces of 350Gs when not operating.
=my EXPERIENCE
The hard drive was working well, compared to my previous (Western Digital 250Gb) which at times doesn't work and clicks occasionally, displaying error 51 in Event Viewer. 9 months down the line of first buying it one day the computer does not boot up at all. Advantages: Fast, Value for Money, Quiet, 5yr warranty Disadvantages: none that i know
to transfer data between pc's without using a network, or for backup storage on many pc's. Also with external hard drives from seagate you only get a 1yr warranty, instead of 5yrs for internal drives like this one.
The formatted usable size is 298gb, not 320gb, it is very quiet I do not notice it at all. It is lightning fast thanks to its 16mb cache which helps make windows and programs load up quicker.
The downside with the low price I paid was that as it was OEM (original equipment manufacturer) hard drive, this means that it is for computer manufactures and the hard drive is the only item incuded, so there is no instruction manual, or the sata cable to connect your hard drive to the motherboard. I had to buy the cable seperatly, but this was only a couple of quid. However nnon OEM drives come with the cable included.

Bought this as a backup drive for my data and to play hi-definition movies using PS3 and it serves its purpose very well.
Fully compatible with Hi-Speed USB( USB 2.0) with speed of 480 Mbps. I was able to transfer 7.95 GB Blu-Ray movie in just 6 minutes.
It also has 8MB Cache for fast data transfer
A 7200 RPM Hard-disk is used and is completely noiseless. Front Light ( Long Bar shaped, Looks Nice :-) ) indicates read/write process.
Drive is powered on only when connected to usb irrespective its adaptor is switched on. This is a great feature.
Perfectly shaped and compact, light and very sturdy.
Disadvantage
Would be better if it had no external adaptor. Its slim though.
