Advantages: Quiet, Quick, Reliable, USB 2.0, Stand Upright/On Side Disadvantages: NONE!
...Seagate have always been a favourite of mine for computer components especially harddrives and their harddrives never cease to amaze me, especially the external 300gb.
It starts at the click of the blue button on front, and its not too bright so you could leave it on all night in a dark room to no distraction.
The stand comes with it for upright standing or sideways (you can stack these little puppies!)
It has firewire, USB 2.0 and both are extremely fast, i use USB 2.0 Currently and it takes me almost no time to copy a 600mb file from one harddrive to this one.
It is one of the quietest harddrives i have, (i have a few external) and it is perfect really.
For myself, it has never broken down, stopped working, cut out, lost any data to the contrary. it runs constantly for some days maybe even upto a week and it's great...

...Technology is an ever growing and ever changing thing in todays supposedly modern and sophisticated world, which makes it ever so hard to decide what to spend your money on and whether the item purchased will be obsolete/cheaper the next month.
As you may have cleverly deduced this particular externalharddrive was one of those aforementioned products stated above. Around January 2008 i bought this little beauty for the reasonable sum of £90, although the price has roughly held its own, more products are being released such as 500gbexternalharddrives for £75 (ye gods). The price reductions can certianily not be a bad thing; it is more than a little discerning to feel as though you have been ripped off.
The Product - The Seagatepushbuttonbackupexternalharddrive 400 GB is a very sturdy and functional machine which gives more...
