Bought the car, originally my company car (new price £23,500) for £12,500 in September 2003. For the first two years it was excellent, reliable, spacious and very flexible with the ability to remove between one and five rear seats. As it was the 1.9Tdi PD SE version it has lots of extras such as a heated windscreen, heated front seats (which also turn round for picnics - not that I've ever used that!), comfortable captain's front seats, good quality 10 seater sound system and fuel economy up to 55mpg and low (176g) CO2 emissions. It's also happy towing and has excellent torque in lower gears. Sadly soon after I bought it it began to let me down badly. It started calling for coolant on a regular basis, particularly after high speed journeys on motorways. Two visits to my usual dealer and they could find no problem. On a journey of 6 hours though it called for 6 litres of water and taking it to another dealer resulted in them replacing the radiator cap. No problems for a while and then a trip to France...and 1am in the morning with 200 miles to go it started calling for coolant again. Completed the journey and took it to a French dealer who again replaced the radiator cap. 10miles later...the same problem..took it back the next day and ten days later had the car returned with a new cylinder head which wass the cause of the original problem 2 months earlier. Perhaps I have just been unlucky...but overall it is an excellent car, an MPV with sports suspension that handles very well. I would probably buy another

Advantages: very reliable and economical, good driving position and very easy to drive. All in all a very good buy Disadvantages: The only real disadvantage we have found has been the firmness of the seats.
