My Seat Arosa

Advantages Very economical
Disadvantages Not a lot of luggage space
I have been the owner of a seat arosa, affectionally called Rose, for just over a year now. I guess that the small size and impressive miles to the gallon statistics, not to mention the incredibly cheap price, originally attracted me having been the owner of a much larger car prior to this purchase.
Needless to say my seat arosa did not disappoint me.
Even though I love my seat there are a few things I don’t like so here goes. There is no boot space at all for the shopping trips although the parcel shelf does raise to give a bit more space but if I put to much in the boot it covers my rear view.
The head restraints on the back seat block the rear view and it difficult whilst reversing. As It is a two door the front seat backs tilt forward to let people in the back but the seats themselves don’t move there is not enough room for back seat passengers to manoeuvre on to the back seat and with my mother being elderly this makes my life difficult.
The rear seats are like two separate seats split and raised in the middle so you can only ever fit two passengers in the back there isn't a middle seat belt like most small cars. The interior light will not come on with the passenger door which is a bad idea not only for my passengers at night but as most of you'll know security alarms work from power surges so the interior light triggers an alarm when the door is opened BAD SEAT!!
One day whilst squirting the front window to clean it with the windscreenwashers (a hot day mind not a rain cloud in the sky) my window was open what happened next? I got absolutely drenched THAT’S WHAT!! All the water came in the driver’s door window and when it does rain its drip drip drip! Because there isn't anything to stop it above the door it's a good way of taking a shower when in a rush though. Is this to save time in the mornings? After all that there are a few good points I like here goes.
The drivers seat is height adjustable which is great for small drivers a lot of head room for the taller driver the steering column is height adjustable too what a good idea!!The car is very stable at high speeds and doesn’t swerve when a lorry or coach passes.
There are two little secrets I have found for you but can't tell you on here, as there might be burglars about! But get in touch and I will tell you in private. As I find faults and good points about my seat I will keep editing this and keep you informed but this could go on forever and ever.
Don't be put off by all the bad things I say about rose all cars have good and bad things wrong with them and I think it all depends on the lifestyle and the driver all in all I think I got value for money which is what I wanted at the time and it makes me feel good when people comment on my Seats looks. As a final thought have you ever wondered why you see so few second hand Seat Arosa's for sale. I would never part with mine!
Thank you for reading my report please comment on any mistakes so that I can learn from you! And do a better one next time.
