    I bought the car after it had an excellent review in one of the motoring magazines. I wanted air-con and a good size boot. I was also impressed by the fact that Seat and VW are virtually the same cars, but Seats are cheaper! I have now owned my car for nearly 3.5 years and done 45k miles. It's been a virtually trouble free period - in that time I have "broken" 1 fuse, the windscreen has 1 chip in it (but not in the MOT-critical region) and I have had 1 puncture. So you could say that 2 of those 3 problems could have happened to any case. The boot size of the car is excellent for a small saloon ... more

    Overall, not a bad car. I bought mine (A '99 T Reg) when it was 6 months old with 6000 on the clock. I've now done 65000 miles in it three and a half years later, so a fair test. Cosmetically, the car's great. I like the look of it, it's comfortable, although perhaps could be slightly better on rear leg room, and I've had no major problems. It's only group 7 insurance, which when you consider that it's basically a Volkswagen Polo saloon with a different badge on it (half the engine parts have the VW logo on), is not bad. BUT.... Would I buy it again? Not a chance. Now most of the miles I have ... more
