Advantages Size - its an Ibiza with a boot and a bigger engine than the standard ibiza
Disadvantages Not too sexy - its a bit dull
I exchanged my Cool (well actually a Chill) black Ibiza 1.4i last year for the somewhat more practical (if you are a new parent as I was) Cordoba Vario (estate Ibiza in other words). It was a massive compromise, but a necessary one, as the Ibiza hardly moved with all the baby gear in the boot, on the roof, and on spare seats etc. With this car, I can transport all of the baby stuff, plus my wife, and the dog, hence saving on kennel fees. The built in roof bars also make using the roof for storage very easy.
Performance is better than the standard Ibiza due to larger updated 1.6i engine. We now cruise at 80 comfortably even fully loaded on the motorway. Fuel consumption is no worse than the Ibiza either. So far reliability has been excellent, and SEAT service also excellent (they even washed it at its MOT and 30,000 service).However (you knew it was coming). It does nothing for image. It is so uncool it is embarasing - especially in Lazulu Blue (what colour is that you ask - unique I reply). And a major disadvantage on the Ibiza - no climate control as standard.
So - good for practicality - poor on looks and "coolness"Detailed Rating
