Threads is a micro-mesh styler for flexible hold and a totally new concept in styling. It ... more
feels like gel, goes on like a pomade, finishes like a detailing crème. It unravels in your hand, creating the web you need to separate your hair. Threads has the hold of a gel; firm, not crunchy, yet the finish is light and completely dry. It separates, defines and reshapes your hair without being stiff, greasy or leaving a heavy residue. The gel provides the common thread from which to weave all of your looks. With this elastic and supple styler you can reform the fiber of your hair instantly. Threads is suitable for all the hair types. On dry hair it revitalises and style, while on damp hair it separates, defines and creates a new shape. Directions of Use: Apply a small amount to your hands and rub between your hands Pull hands apart, creating a web-like veil and “drops” onto your dry hair Use your fingers to shape, twist, pinch or rake texture into a finished look On your towel-dried hair, apply directly to hair and let air dry
Advantages: it has totally transformed how my hair looks and feels Disadvantages: it is more expensive than other shampoos
Years of perming, colouring and generally abusing my hair has left it frizzy and a total nightmare to control or style. Sent like a gift from the gods, Sebastian Laminates Shampoo is designed to help keep frizzy or dry hair under control and I am really pleased that it was recommended to me. So much so I wanted to share my experiences. Even though it is much more expensive than other regular shampoo and conditioners at £10 for 250ml I found that it lasts just that little bit longer than other shampoos because I only need a little amount to wash my hair which is currently down to my shoulders in length.
When I use other brands, after washing my hair goes really dry and feels almost brittle to the touch. Some would call it straw hair. Using Sebastian Laminates Shampoo won't see dramatically different results over the short term, but two ...
Advantages: Fast paced tale that you don't want to put down Disadvantages: Takes a few chapters to readjust
Having come off an invigorating reading binge encompassing the works of Anne Bishop, I was thoroughly pleased to learn that my good friend, who just happened to get me HOOKED on Anne Bishop to begin with, had a copy of her very latest book - Sebastian - on reserve, and therefore in her hot little hands. Better yet, she had 2 copies reserved, which meant that she was able to pass the first copy on to me, and able to get the second copy to finish.
In all honesty, coming out of the Black Jewels series, this took a little adjusting. A completely different world, a completely different cast of characters, a completely different power of my favorite aspect of fantasy - MAGIK. This tale starts with such a simple task, and the simple enjoyment, of making koffee. Remember, this is a different world altogether. Demons, succubi, and other ...
Advantages: fascinating, relentlessly brutal, good performances, convincing despite its small budget Disadvantages: None
I remember watching threads for the first time back in school, and finding it both terrifying and fascinating at the same time. I watched it again recently, and the film has certainly lost none of its power to shock. Made back in 1984, Threads is a British made-for-tv film in which Britain is all-but annihilated in a nuclear holocaust. Set in Sheffield, the film starts in a very innocuous fashion, filmed in a low-budget way that brings to mind old episodes of coronation street and lulls you into a false sense of security. People chatter away in pubs whilst a television in the corner voices portentous omens about the conflict between Russia and the west in Iran. There is talk of nuclear war, but of course, nobody believes it could actually really -happen-.

An amazing discovery inspired this product: hair, when treated like a fiber, reacts much the same way threads and yarns do when treated to make fabric and clothing. Sebastian saw how stylists work with hair, as if they were fashion designers working with fabric, and chose to look at hair in a whole new direction: the idea of hair as a fashion accessory. If hair is a fiber, it can be woven into a fabric that can be cut and designed into a fashion. So Threads was born. A styling cream with microfiber technology that threads hair together to create a fabric for any fashion. With this elastic and supple styler you can reform the fiber of your hair instantly. With the original Threads, what you wear begins with your hair.
