I've had my Sebo Hoover for about one and a half years now, and so far (touch wood)! It has never let me down, I may, on the other hand have let it down!
***************FIRST IMPRESSIONS************
As we all know by now, first impressions DO count, however on this occasion I must say that they were disappointing, the Hoover looks bulky and with such dark colours certainly doesn't catch your attention when lined up with a full range of Dyson Hoovers. On this note I must say that I was also very keen to purchase a Dyson, so its impression was quite important.
******************TESTING*********************
Somewhat like cars, these days Hoovers can be 'test driven'! Something I found surprising at the time. However when buying from Jessops this proved to be a great asset, I only tested the Sebo however as I had access to a Dyson (1.5 years ago everyone seemed to have one). This was definitely the part that pushed me into purchasing the Sebo. I immediately had my mind made up and off I went with my new GERMAN Hoover, in my German car!! Can see some pattern arising?!
*******************AT HOME********************
First of all I must admit that our house is fairly challenging as fair as any Hoover is concerned, we have two hairy dogs and the house just always seems as though it needs hoovering...again! However not once has this faithful Hoover had a problem.
On arriving home I cast the instructions to one side and began fiddling with all the different parts, the Hoover came generally ready-to-use and was fairly straight forward, this was encouraging and I found a spot that needed a clean...I was certainly impressed. The only fiddly part I could possibly say was fitting the bag; this is clearly the biggest difference from the British Dyson. Some may now doubt this machine at the cost of the bags, however the product is extremely economical and only seems to need the bag changing once every three/four weeks.
On this note there is a warning light that appears to indicate a bag change is required and also one to show that the Hoover is blocked, I have found this extremely helpful over time.
*****************THE PRODUCT*****************
The sebo boasts 1300 watts, this can be considered of a high standard in this country and in total holds approximately 7Kg in weight. Although this may at first seem a big weight to PUSH around it is exactly the opposite, the Hoover always seems to move and will just apparently wait for a direction. There is very little energy really required!
The Hoover also comes complete with a range of brushes etc. to assist with all of the small gaps/stairs, these again are very helpful and there really isn't anything that you would need on purchasing this Hoover, apart from bags of course.
The final point that I must draw upon is the fact that the cord on this Hoover is sufficient to Hoover the whole ground floor and part of the stairs (dependent on the layout of the house). The advantage that I have found here is that it saves time!
*****************CONCLUSION********************
Overall I have been extremely pleased with my Sebo and I would recommend anyone considering a new Hoover to certainly consider the Sebo.

Sebo X4
Review of Sebo X4 by

Advantages: Extremely efficient for all surfaces
Disadvantages: Possibly a little heavy to carry upstairs
I have had my Sebo X4 for 9months now & it has had regular use. I have in the past had many different vacs including Dyson & I have to say that this is the best ever. It is easy to use, tools are handy with quick transition to using the extension. Suction is powerful & adapts easily to different surfaces. My home has a variety of surfaces, shaggy style carpet, ceramic tiles & both short tufted & woven carpets and this cleaner copes with all surfaces ...
