We recently moved to a rented house that has new beige carpets throughout. Not a good thing when you have three cats, a dog and a man to clean up after! Our previous landlord had provided a basic hoover which had repeatedly clogged with pet fur so now that we were buying our own we decided to do a lot of research to get the right one.
Dyson had just launched their Animal which was designed for pet hair but when we looked at it it was huge, VERY heavy and unattractive.
The Sebo in comparison is a dream. I'm only petite and I found I could easily lift the Sebo and move it around with ease. It seems to glide across the carpets when cleaning and makes hoovering easy and almost enjoyable! It's very fast at adjusting the height for different surfaces and it's so much easier that the computer does it for you. A perfect clean every time.
The most incredible thing for us is how well it cleans. Every pet hair is gone straight away, including our persian cat's fur which seems to get everywhere. We've had the Sebo almost a year now and it's never once clogged and has no problem with any of the pet fur at all. It even removes the pet fur smell. Our Sebo came with a large tub of cleaning powder that you can sprinkle on stains and they come out wonderfully. A must for our beige carpets!
Changing the bag is fantastic too. It just clips in easily and when it's full you get a lid supplied with each bag to put on the top and just drop it in the bin. No fussing and no mess. Each bag seems to hold a large amount as well as we are still on our first box of ten bags almost a year later.
The attachments are neatly stored on board and attach and come off very easily. The Sebo performs just as well when using the cleaning hose and makes our sofa look as good as new every time.
Since seeing how well it cleans a couple of our friends and family have got a Sebo as well and are just as pleased. We have also seen that it came top in the Which magazine awards and was commented as the most reliable. We can well believe that.
It's not the cheapest cleaner at £229 but we feel well worth the investment. It's much cheaper than most Dysons, especially the Dyson Animal. Easy to get hold of from John Lewis or any main vacuum cleaner store.
In summary a great machine, worth every penny that's easy to use, amazing at cleaning and looks smart as well.
