Schools out for ever
Advantages: Good Education Disadvantages: Nosey teachers and Bullies
As I have finished the whole of my secondary education. I am going to write about the school at which I spent 5 boring sad years.
After not doing my eleven plus, and not being there to the end of the year 6 (as I was involved in a car accident and was on crutches) I didn't know how long I had to wait to get the notification of what colour group I was in, or into which form I had been placed. During the six weeks holidays I was raiding the post every ... ...looking forward to going to the big school and being with the big kids. I was also looking forward to studying all the different subjects I didn't study at primary school. So on the 3rd of September 2003 I walked to school with my mum and my elder sister so I would learn the way to school. Then while I was walking to school I was continually checking if I looked all right in my new school uniform. When I got there my sister took me to the main hall ...

I wouldnt change the school I went to
Advantages: None of the bullying you see in the news, great school Disadvantages: headteacher tries bringing rediculous rules out
I started Ilkley Grammar school at the age of 12, the education system in my region was first, middle and grammar school but this changed while I was in year 7 to Primary and secondary school. Now children start Ilkley grammar school in year 7 but I joined in year 8 due to the changing of the system.
Year 8 was a bit hectic, mainly because the school used an old middle school to house year 7 and 8 while the actual site carried out construction to ... ...change very well).

The Crossley Heath Grammar School
Advantages: Wonderful sense of community, brilliant teaching Disadvantages: Segregation and bullying
The Crossley Heath Grammar School, known to most as "Crossleys", is a victorian edifice, situated at the top of Saville Park, The Moor to locals, in elegant grounds. The facilities have changed little since their victorian days, but recent expansions include a new Technology wing, a language wing, a new porta-cabin for the sixth form and current plans include a sports' hall with facilities for teaching, thus creating more teaching space within the ... ...not mean that I dislike the place, I love it to bits, enough to wear my school jumper out and about when it gets cold.
Crossleys is a selective school, so admission is by 11+ exam only, unless you move into the area at a later date, in which case you can take the exam when a place becomes available. I've been in the school twice for 11+ exam day, once when I took it, once when I helped out. The atmosphere that day is quite scary, so if you're thinking ...

McCrap
Advantages: Great sport coaches, and SOME really, really great staff. Disadvantages: Everything but ^^^
Completely agree with the above ^^^.
The school has gone seriously downhill - I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and neither would a number of parents. The SMT are slowly ruining the school with their petty rules about uniform, and have absolutely no interest or concern about many of the major issues such as kids being bullied and excluded, and generally they just don't seem to care about the welfare and happiness of the pupils - appearance, money ... ...interested in.
And if only the money was spent well...with pasta, chicken and chips being served at practically every school meal, when the SMT decide to install numerous plasma screens around the school, solely for the use of displaying messages, one can't help but wish for their seemingly endless amount of money to be used on improving the food, or perhaps the pastoral facilities.
As a conclusion, one word to describe LWC would be ridiculous. ...
