Poor customer service

Advantages: Decent engineers
Disadvantages: Poor customer service, binding 3-yr contract, extra dial-out charges for non-BT.

The customer service for the ADT system is absolutely appalling, and they really have little clue on the physical workings and limitations of the system. Be aware that when you sign onto the system, it is usually for 3 years, and there is a termination fee if you try to cancel beforehand, even if it is a fault of the system and you are unhappy with it. Safe & Secure

Advantages: Monitored system, cost effective, a national brand
Disadvantages: None

...really surprised to discover that ADT was the most cost effective out of them all. The reason for this is that my installation only cost £299 which includes the Metropolitan Police Registration fee. The system was installed in about 5 hours with the minimum mess. The piece of mind alarm

Advantages: Easy to use.
