Select is a fairly good shop. It usually has a wide range of goods avaliable in a variety of sizes. Select has many cheap accessories which provide good value for money. They also have a lot of cheap make up which is quite good for what you pay. I would critisize the layout of the shop. The shops are very crowded and no more than one person can easily stand in the asiles. The dressing rooms are also very poor. The curtains don't fully close and there is little room inside. I have also often found rubbish and chewing gum in the changing rooms. The worst thing about select is the quality. I have not yet owned an item of clothing purchesed at Select which has lasted more than one month. This is very irritating as, athough the clothes are cheap, i do expect them to last for more than a few wears. The worst clothes are the trousers which often have very poor quality stiching along the inside seam. The staff can be helpfull when returning garments, but not always. I would reccomend Select, but only if you're planning to wear the garment just a few times.
i always shop in select and the branch near me (shirley near southampton) is set out perfectly. and there is a lot of space beetween the hangers as they are just in little groups there are a few boxes around and a bit of chewing gum in the corners but what do you expect from a chav shop. also i have a skirt i bought in select over two years ago i wear it to death and it is still in one piece with no rips or anything so you must have just had bad luck. xxxmissyxxx
