Sun Kissed in a bottle? Advantages: Quick to dry & absorb, natural colour, relatively easy to apply Disadvantages: smell could be improved, can be a bit patchy I've naturally pale skin and always feel self conscious of this over the summer months, particularly when it comes to getting my legs out when they've been hidden away over the winter months. Not wanting to go for sun beds after all the health warnings associated with these, I opted for a tan in a bottle. Wary of looking like the orange celebs we seem to see all the time, I was careful with the shade selected and went for the lightest possible selection. ... ...these really difficult to apply, slow to absorb and streaky so this gel based product instantly appealed to me. The price was pretty good too, at £6.50. After preparing my skin as directed (exfoliated and moisturised!) I applied the gel, little by little. I was surprised by how quickly this absorbed but a bit concerned that the product didn't appear to show on the skin. L'Oreal Nutrisummer: It's all in the application Advantages: Not too expensive, even colour if applied correctly Disadvantages: Smell, needs to be rubbed in well After returning from holiday and watching my natural tan fade within a matter of weeks I decided that instead of putting up with being pale for the next year I would fake it. I haven't had much luck in the past with fake tans as they always leave me looking like an oompa loompa, so I thought I'd try one of the gradual tanning moisturisers that seem to be everywhere. I chose Nutrisummer simply because it was on offer at my local supermarket. Loreal ... ...would definitely purchase it again. The packaging ************ The product is in an orange and cream tube and although it is quite large, its compact shape makes it easy to store in a bathroom cupboard or to stand on a shelf. The appearance of the tube isn't very original and probably wouldn't stand out on a supermarket shelf so it may take a while to find it. A Gorgeous Golden Glow Advantages: Locking cap, Absorbs quickly, smells nice Disadvantages: Can go patchy but easy to fix ...the Sublime Bronze poduct by L'oreal after seeing the advert for their dry mist spray. It was also tested on the pogramme 'This Morning' and the results looked really good. I thought the spray may stain everywhere which is why i chose the milk instead. ~~Packaging~~ This product comes in a lovely bronzed tan coloured bottle which has a pump action. You turn the lid side ways to lock it so theres no risk of it leaking or being knocked and getting ... ...to even it out on the same day as it doesnt take too long to start appearing. It recommends using this 2-3 times a week once you have your desired colour to maintain it. You've been TANGOED Advantages: - Disadvantages: - ...a free sample of the L'Oreal website quite a while ago along with the NutriSummer body lotion, but I was apprehensive about putting this on my face because once it's on it won't wash off. I kept putting it off but I decided to give it a go the other week before school. The sample comes with three sachets for each day and there is 1.5ml in each, but it was way too much for me so I only ended up using about a quarter of it. Nobody seemed to notice ... ...I was quite shocked that L'Oreal had gave me a sachet for a day that could last me for a month, because somebody with a similar skin tone to me might follow the instructions properly and use the whole lot and they would almost certainly come out looking brighter than the sun! On the packet it says that it is for everyday use and it's for fair skin but I would say it's more for medium. want the orange patchy leg look? buy this product! Advantages: If you want to look like Jordan! Disadvantages: Very patchy and orange I bought this for a wedding I was going to last weekend and got my partner to spray tan my legs. We did everything according to the instructions and I was really impressed by how even my boyfriend sprayed it up and down my legs. I waited for a couple of hours and had no tan so was quite disappointed but thought I would give give it a bit more time to develop. The instructions said you should develop a light, even tan within two hours. Off to the ... ...not until the evening, I look down at my legs and realise I have orange feet and half orange, half white legs!! I was positive it had been sprayed correctly and evenly but yet It looked so bad. Its almost a week later and I still have one half orange thigh and an orange left ankle!! In future, I will get it done professionally at a salon ... especially when it comes to my own wedding!!!
