Might be an interesting fact to know that the novel Carrie (1974) was initially rejected by several publishers. Discouraged Stephen King through it to trash, but his wife, Tabby, saved it and recommended some changes that involved also an extension of the original novel. Carrie was intended to be no more than a psychological novel about the inner world of women with occult elements and some violence. But when the volume became mentioned together with novels like The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty and The Other by Thomas Tyrone,it seemed as though there was a whole trilogy with such demonic girls, for those who loved the genre.

1. They have literally hundereds of books in stock, and will order any in print for you if, on the rare occassion they don't have the one you're after. Plus they have special offers every day with pounds off the most popular titles
2. The stores have excellent opening times - my local one is open until 9 or 10pm most nights which is handy if I don't get our of work till 6.30pm when most shops are shut
3. The layout of the stores is attractive and inviting. There are compfy seats all over for you to sit ...
