When I bought my Sendo M550, I thought I was getting a good phone, that looked stylish and more importantly was cheap, and made calls and text messages. It turns out I was right, the phone 'had... more

4 Stars I'll Never Look Back Review with images 04/08/2004

Advantages Advantages Small, Light, Stylish, Two screens, Easy to use, Colour screen, downloadable ringtones wallpapers games screensavers

Disadvantages Disadvantages No camera, cheapest place had sold out, not many around now as a newer version is being released.

After having my motorola v70 for about two years, I decided it was time to change my phone. My partner had also recently lost his mobile and was using one he didn't like and so we decided we would get the same phone, on the same network, so that it was cheaper for us to call each other. We are not ones for having the best when it comes to mobiles and so I simply sat at the computer one day and typed in my search engine "cheap flip phones on pay as you go". I had already decided we were having flip phones, because I had always wanted one! The first website that I went to had the sendo M550 on ... more

Advantages Advantages Stylish flipphone at a cheap price for a colour one

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the greatest array of features, and scratches easily.

After my old phone fell out of a ride and fell apart (R.I.P Nokia 1100) I definately needed a new one. Considering I had more money than when I bought my old phone, I wanted something better than the basic 1100. The first of my two ideas was the Motorola V220, which I heard was really fragile, and the second was the Sendo P600, but when I used this in the store, I found the keys very duifficult to use. Insted I picked this cheaper offering, which lacked the camera, but had all the features that I want from a phone. Colour screen and polyphonic ringtones. Starting with the network and price. I ... more

    Advantages Advantages Price, design

Disadvantages Disadvantages not for those fussy on features

Sendo... It's very unlikely that you will have heard of this inconspicuous company. Most mobile phone companies are huge multinational corporations based in the Far East, or the US, but not Sendo. In fact Sendo has its HQ in sunny Birmingham. Whenever I whip out the clamshell M550 people are baffled by its make, which I think adds to the phone's mystique! First impressions (which invariably do count) prove promising. Without an external aerial the phone is incredibly compact, measuring in at the size of a credit card, and only about a centimetre deep. The front of the phone boasts a small ... more

Advantages Advantages Price, Size, No aerial

Disadvantages Disadvantages **Lack of features** Poor reception

This is an amazing phone for the price. I have owned one for just under 2 years now. (I have just changed to an NEC e338). I paid £40 when I bought it on Virgin Mobile PAYG. The main qualities are its size and ease of use. A monkey could learn how to use this phone. However, a monkey might find it hard to text with it as the keys are quite close together. I am NOT a monkey but I still have some difficultly. Another thing which makes it hard to text is the fact there is a slight pause. This means that you cannot text really quickly as it misses letters. For making and receiving calls this phone ... more

Advantages Advantages Small, light, nice looking, colour screen, full screen,

Disadvantages Disadvantages breaks so easily, poor reception, battery problems.

The sendo M550 hmm... well lets just say ill never ever look at one again, I owned this phone for about a year and it was functional for about three months of that time before breaking, and once it had broke all sorts of things went wrong. After having a Nokia 5110 for about 4 years prior to this I was pleased to get an upgrade. Unlike my old phone it was compact and light and with it being a flip phone it meant I didn't lose all my credit when I forgot to lock the key pad. It had a colour screen and the messages no long came in two parts if they exceeded 160 characters. I could now download ... more
