i was eager to get these headphones, partly because my 3rd pair of ipod ones were falling apart, and partly because my mate had bought some from dixons and found them to be very good... he has since bought the bose in-ear ones and says that overall these are better..
i searched all the main retailers websites and found them all to be fairly expensive, so naturally i went to eBay and thankfully found them at a reasonable price... bargin i was thinking, top class headphones at a fraction of the RRP.
my only concern with buying off ebay was that there were fakes flying around so was worried i'd picked the wrong seller...thankfully they arrived two days later, packaged in the sennheiser box and are definately real.
i chose the black earphones over the white or silver, partly because i found them cheaper and also because they looked far more stylish in black.
when i took them out of the box and immediately tried them in my ears, they fitted perfectly... i then checked the two other sizes of ear plugto see if either were a better fit and eventually decided the middle size were best. each sized fitted, but the middle sized ones were the most comfortable for my ears
on to the details.. with any new piece of kit i like to test it in as many ways as possible, so i listened to many genres of music off my ipod through them to see how they performed, this was the best was to work out how well they played the more bassy music and also the more trebley stuff... after the first song i was amazed, with both ear phones in my head filled with music, and the earphones clearly picked out the high notes, as well as the middle and lower notes. needless to say, i was very impressed.
being my first proper in-ear phones i was unsure as to what to expect on the external sound blocking front...these almost totally blocked out all external noise, which was excellent as i was trying to work as well.
there is only one downside to these earphones as yet, this is the cable... being tall it is slightly short for my liking, but it can definately be lived with... also, the cable is asymmetric, meaning that from where the two earphone cables split, one is significatly longer thant the other, this means that either you use only one, or put them round the back of your neck. it is not a major problem, jus a little niggle for me.
overall though, a truly stunning pair of earphones which look stylish and sound great. i suggest you shop round before buying as you are sure to find a bargain somewhere
