The first thing I should mention is that there are fakes out there, a lot of them. I bought some CX 300s a few month backs and they were unfortunately fake. I am saying this because it may be a little confusing when deciding whether to buy these headphones as the price may seem to good to be true. So yeah, some of the really cheap ones available may actually be fakes, they look similar but are actually knock-offs which will probably have worse quality and break easier.

As for the real CX 400-IIs out there, for the right price these are amazing. I got mine for £15 and for the price headphones actually do seem to good to be true.

The Sound is clear and the volume is adjustable thanks to a switch on the wire. The Noise cancellation really does cancel all outside noise no matter where you are, I have used these on a plane, and in public. Background instruments and bass is also pretty clear.

What has amazed me the most with these headphones is how long they have lasted, I am use to buying lots of headphones, cheap ones don't last long enough and I just don't want to risk spending a lot on expensive headphones. As for these headphones I have had these for around 5 months now, and there hasn't seem to be any loss in sound quality. 5 months in my opinion is a long life time for headphones, perhaps its because I don't treat them good enough but all other headphones I have owned have broken too easily. My only issue, which isn't much of a problem is that an "S" peeled off on the left headphone.

As for value for money, these headphones are perfect if you can get them under £20, as long as you get real headphones, you can expect pretty amazing sound quality and a decent life span. if I am to need new headphones in the future, I will definitely get these again if I can get it at a similar price.
