Advantages: Works well with an iPod plenty enough volume, Sounds amazing Disadvantages: Cables break easy and are expensive to replace.

I bought them mainly for using at my computer, I did try them with my Minidisc player I had at the time, but it struggled to power them, it was only when I got an iPod I started to wear them out and about. I would not recommend them for jogging or cycling, but for walking and sitting on the bus they are OK, ... ...they are so big. Although you will need an MP3 player with a lot of power if you do want to wear them out.
Compared to in ear phone the sound quality is a revelation, it really shows me what the iPod is capable of sonicly. The bass is good even with no bass boost which is good because the bass boost on the iPod causes distortion.
