Advantages: Superb sound, comfortable fit, volume control on the cord Disadvantages: Some earbuds were missing, slighly pricy for in-ear earphones
), and have found them wanting. So I purchased, a few months ago, a pair of Sennheiser CX500 high quality noise isolating ear-canal headphones with volume control - black (to give it its full name). And so far, I am very, very happy.
The Sennheiser CX500 are 'noise isolating' not by using white noise (like the Bose), but rather by fitting snugly in the ear. To this end, a number of ear buds are provided - three sizes of 'normal' round(ish) buds, and supposedly three sizes of 'enhanced' (with an extra ridge) buds, though the package I received seemed to contain one enhanced ear bud of each size (less than useful). (I did send an email to Sennheiser, but heard nothing.) Whilst the noise isolation is not as good as the ruinously expensive Bose Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones (and that ilk), it is effective, so long as the earbuds fit well (fully ...
Advantages: Great sound clarity, very comfortable Disadvantages: Higher frequencies not as refined as other earphones
Listening to music... a great British pastime, and something I enjoy every day. It comes as no surprise, mainly because it has been said many times before, that the earphones bundled with the iPod, or any MP3 player, are not brilliant. They come supplied nicely packaged with small, medium and large ring adaptors for a comfortable fit. Of the three colours I really like the black, which are accented with silver rings.
Being the in-ear type of headphone, comfort is very important. Out of all the earphones I have tried, these win ...
Advantages: Cancel out background noise, comfortable to wear, enhances listening experience Disadvantages: None
I'd just recently bought a new mp3 player and after shelling out quite a lot of money for it, I didn't want to be let down to poor sound quality of the packaged headphones.
After doing some research online, I decided to get a pair of Sennheiser CX300's. I have to say they are fantastic. They come with 3 sets of earbuds in different sizes, experiment and find out which are most comfortable in your ears.
They are very easy to wear- I forget I'm wearing them half the time! And the sound....well the sound is amazing. I can hear tracks on my mp3 player far more clearly and defined. They cancel out a lot of backround noise too- the early morning commutes on a packed bus have never been so peaceful.
All in all I love them. Definately worth the £20 or so price tag. I let my brother borrow them one day and he ended up buying ...
