Sennheiser headphones are easy to maintain, if something breaks you just replace the broken part, everything is replacale, even the cable, ear pads and head strap, also all the bits of plastic are replacable! Not that you would need to with the HD215s durability.

Excelent for DJing, turning up loud and throwing in puddles! ... more
Great headphones... but for only one purpose, DJing. The reason why is because they are very trebble-heavy so the snares and hats kick though the bass with ease making it easier to hear the important bits well instead of having the bass sounding distorting in the headphones. They can go very loud which is another reason I use them for mixing, however i find it difficult to master my tracks with them as i cannot get the right tones out of them which leaves me mixing down my tracks blindfolded. They are also HUGE! They take up most of my head, almost like a crash helmet, this makes the headphones very un-portable and makes you look silly walking down the street wearing them. They are very hard-wearing though, I have taken them to many clubs/parties and raves where they have been on the floor in puddles... they are still alive! Advantages: Build, Sound, Price. Disadvantages: None for this price.

The main features of these closed-cup headphones are the rotatable ear cup ideal for DJ monitoring and a 3m coiled cable also ideal for DJ's. However i did not purchase these for DJing but for general usage connected to my hi-fi amp and find that they drown ... ...this price. Bass, mid range and treble is all spot in in my opinion and suits the music i listen to which is mostly indie/rock. The build quality is excellent and hours of listening can be enjoyed as they fit very comfortably. Also came with a very nice leather look storage pouch which was a nice extra i didn't expect. Really these headphones need to be connected to a hi-fi or amp to get the power needed to drive them, i have tested with portable ...
