Advantages: Comfort, Quality, Availability of spares. Disadvantages: Cord a bit short.
Needing a new pair of headphones, my previous pair being stood on and smashed by a drunken me, I searched on-line and in the shops and decided upon the SennheiserHD25?s. They were certainly not the cheapest on offer, at the top end of my budget coming in at just under £125 from Superfi about 6 months ago. (I have seen them online now for £99 at Djstore.co.uk)
I am not a DJ, nor do I profess to be, but I selected these since they appear very hard wearing, and offer exceptional hi-fi sound quality with comfort.
Upon removal from the box, I was delighted with the overall professional build quality; ?made in Ireland? was silk-screened on the headband, I would have thought they would have been made in Deutschland!
Every part of the headphones appears interchangeable, drive units, pads, cable and headband, certain on-line stores can ...

Advantages: Excellent bass and range Disadvantages: Length of cable always gets in the way
A good pair no matter what people say!
When i first saw a pair of HD25's i was Djing at a club in Brighton, i was amazed at the sound quality of such a small set of headphones in such a noisy enviroment. However I was somewhat secpitcle of paying alot of money for a pair of headphones, as there are so many in the market which are obviously much cheaper.
The sound canceling is excellent with a wide range of varying frequency and the neat compact design gives these headphones the edge.
Sennheiser known for its superb sound and quality has again hit the nail on the head with these with small features such as nice comfy earpeices and adjustable headband also changeable cabling if it gets broken, really help these stand out.
The only problem that i found is the length of the cable at over 2 meters it is very easy to get in ...

Advantages: Excellent quality sound, robust Disadvantages: Uncomfortable if worn for long periods
I, like others, had often heard of these headhphones before I bought my first pair. I tested out both these and the cheaper model, the HD25 SP, and these sound better and are built more robustly.
The quality of the sound is excellent, with both bass and treble very clear, making everything in between sound like you'd want it to. The sound isolation is also impressive, being on a par with inner-ear earphones.
Another useful feature of these headphones is that the parts are easily replaceable - that is you can take the earpads off, or cables, and can also readily find replacements online for a reasonable price. Having said that, I've had my pair for a year, and so far haven't needed to replace anything.
The only complaint I have, and it is becoming more serious, is that they are quite painful to wear for long periods if, like me, you ...
