I, like others, had often heard of these headhphones before I bought my first pair. I tested out both these and the cheaper model, the HD 25 SP, and these sound better and are built more robustly.
The quality of the sound is excellent, with both bass and treble very clear, making everything in between sound like you'd want it to. The sound isolation is also impressive, being on a par with inner-earearphones.
Another useful feature of these headphones is that the parts are easily replaceable - that is you can take the earpads off, or cables, and can also readily find replacements online for a reasonable price. Having said that, I've had my pair for a year, and so far haven't needed to replace anything.
The only complaint I have, and it is becoming more serious, is that they are quite painful to wear for long periods if, like me, you also wear glasses. I find that the earpads press my ears into the frame of my glasses. However, if you're not a geek like me, you should be ok. Besides this discomfort I have also heard from others that they can make your ears quite hot because of how tightly the headphones 'seal' over your ears. I have not had this problem.

Advantages: Loud, clear, isolate brilliantly, light, comfy, user replaceable parts. Disadvantages: Expensive, not as good looking as some headphones (as if it matters).

Review of Sennheiser HD 25
Advantages: V-comfortable. Sound is Lively, strong, lean & deep. Good highs & lows... Disadvantages: They need time to wear-in to help the sound luster a bit more...
