It should be said that I don't particularly like earphones in general, I find them uncomfortable and awkward and they compromise the sound quality. The problem is that I need them. I can't just turn a speaker on in public transport, as much as I would like to, so for an hour or two a day, it's earphones or nothing, and these pretty much do the job.
Sound Quality
It's ok. You will get better bass with proper in-ear phones or bigger headphones, but if like me you find that uncomfortable or impractical, these perform well. I personally can't stand in-ear, they feel like earplugs and it just generally creeps my out to have something shoved into my ear, and I have a set of massive sennheiser headphones and a pair of scullcandy ones, but they just take up so much space they're not worth it, despite having far better sound.
They perform pretty well for the model of earphone they are. I use them on my way to work and if I turn them up to drown out traffic the quality does suffer considerably. At the level I have it at on the metro they're fine, but louder is just not good. I would state though that you will have to pay a lot to get this type of earphone that can handle loud volumes.
Comfort
The fit is just awkward. The actual earpiece is normally proportioned so no issues there and they did come with three pairs of the little rubber adjusting rings which I promptly lost, but the strap thing that supposedly makes it good for running and jumping and other physically demanding activities people like to engage in are just odd. Look at the shape of them in the picture at the top of the page. That hole should be about the same shape as the point where your ear attaches to your head, it just isn't. They are soft and reshape fairly well to a point, but not far enough. I would consider myself to have quite large ears, at the very least I'm large and they're not dis-proportionally small, but they keep unfurling back to a size that fits my dad better than me (he definitely has big ears). For my purposes this doesn't cause to much of a problem, as most earphones can manage to stay put for a train ride and a brisk walk, but if anyone were to actually want them for exercise I hope they have big ears.
I have tried them while running, and they don't fall off my ears, but they don't actually stay in either. They end up hanging near your ears instead of being in them...
Looks
Looks are pretty much as seen in the picture. They're loud, but I like a bit of color and it announces clearly to people why I can't hear them, which is always a good thing. I'm not sure what devices the volume control works with, but it's not one I own.
Durability
This is where they get a huge plus from me, because they have survived over a year of having to travel wrapped around an iPod in my bag and the tiny little cables show no signs of glitches yet. I know their days are numbered, but most of my earphones haven't lasted half as long, no matter how carefully I try not to bend the cable at the connector or let it tangle. Just the fact that they're still working properly makes them value for money as far as I'm concerned.

They weren't cheap exactly, but they're not that expensive either. I would have preferred them to fit better, but knowing how much I'll probably have to pay to get the sound quality I want, I would probably buy these again, if for no other reason than longevity. The cheapest types need to be replaced so often they're only marginally cheaper really, and much more of a hassle.
