I tried them out straight away and was surprised how professional they looked. As for sound quality, it is not the best on the market but does a solid job. It is a bit quiet, which requires you to turn up the overall PC sound but, again, isn't a big problem. If you want this headset to provide you with second to none sound quality, dont buy it. Stick with speakers instead. Don't get me wrong, for listening to people talking and the occasional ... more
I bought this headset about 6 months ago because I was into internet gaming and used Teamspeak alot. I also used Skype quite frequently to call family and friends. This is one of the cheapest headsets I could find on the market and previously owned a pair of Sennheiser headphones which were very good so decided to splash out £30 on them. This is only a minor problem and wouldnt stop me recommending this to friends.

The microphone can rotate nearly 360 degrees which is very handy and professional. The microphone picks up the sound perfectly and with little/no interference. The only downside to this microphone is that the "stalk" that it is on, can bend but cant stay in the position you want it to, so you may find at times the mic is too far away from your face. Although, this microphone can pick up my voice when in the upright position whilst talking on Skype so the problem mentioned before isn't too bad.
The downside to this headset though would be how comfortable it is. The headset is adjustable, allowing users with small/big heads to position the headphones to sit right on the ear, which is a good thing. Although after wearing it for more than an hour really does hurt my ears and feels like it digs in. This may just be an isolated problem but really let the headset down in my case.
Overall, this headset is brilliantly made with a nice long cable so you can sit quite far away from the computer/mp3 to be able to listen to it. The microphone is good enough for everyday use and for the price, I don't think you will find any better. I will rate this 4 out of 5 (being uncomfortable when using it for more than an hour, making it a 4 rather than a 5). I definately recommend this product to anyone that is thinking of buying it.
Advantages: Good sound quality, cheap price, long cable, microphone. Disadvantages: Painful during and after prolonged usage
I have owned a Sennheiser headset for about 8 months now, and have, on the whole been slightly disappointed by it's performance.
Looks: The Sennheiser PC 130 headset is an ordinary headset package. The black and silver color scheme make the product suitable for both office and home; subtle curves and contours add to the sleek and professional appearance of the product.
Practicality: This headset is lightweight and moderately adaptable for different ... ...plenty of room for the largest of heads.
This headset also comes with a relatively long connection cable which allows free, but limited movement across the room. The main flaw i have found with this product is the comfortability. I have found that over prolonged periods of usage, these headphones become uncomfortable and even painful after extensive use. The longest time i can tolerate wearing these headphones is about 90 minutes which isn't exactly ...
