I don't actually have the pc135 headset but own the pc130 which is basically the same. The reason I bought a new headset is because I'd heard from a friend how much better it is to use headphones plugged directly into the soundcard when listening to music on the pc, and so I bought these for around £30.
Lets start with sound quality. I can't fault this headset, sound quality is absolutely superb for such an inexpensive headset. Having compared it to similar manufacturers products on the market such as those from Plantronics, I'd say the Sennheiser came out top every time.
This headset is also very comfortable to wear, it has large ear pads which are protected with the usual black foam yet produce a well channeled sound. The headpiece easy adjusts via a sliding mechanism to fit a good range of head sizes., and the microphone is on a swing down arm that can be clipped to the side of the headpiece when not in use.
About halfway down the lead, there is a small unit for adjusting the volume and turning the microphone on and off, I've found this to be very useful when listening to music, though do bear in mind that these headphones do get loud!
The microphone on this headset was not as good as I'd expected it to be, although not totally useless, it doesn't tend to pick up everything as the position of the receiver is not always close enough to the users mouth. This can be corrected, as the microphone arm is bendable however this may reduce the overall life of the set. This was not really a problem for me as I don't tend to use the microphone that much anyway, but may be for online gamers who require a clear sound when trying to communicate with other players etc.
The only other fault I can think of with this product is that the clip that holds the microphone arm to the headpiece is not secured and so quite often falls off, I lost mine after about a week, not that its too much of a problem as the arm tends to stay up by itself anyway.
In conclusion I'd definitely recommend this headset despite the slightly disappointing microphone; after all you’ll be buying from a brand most of the professional gamers choose to use today.
