So What is that is really so good about them, why do all the HI-FI journalists purr about them?. I'll tell you why.
These headphones have extraordinary bass performance ... ...a pair of headphones from Sennheiser which are the noise cancelling version of these ones. They are not quite as good in the sound department but if you value noise cancelling then those are worth a try.
As I mentioned earlier you can pick up a new pair of these Sennhesier headphones for about £20 and that is a real bargain because even the full price of £35 is great value and anyone who knows anything about headphones know the reputation ... more
A couple of years ago now I bought a pair of these headphones after reading some great reviews in What-HiFi. Originally I bought these for £30 and they served me well up until just before christmas when I was using them with my mp3 player and the wire came lose and the sound was completely gone. I was distraught.
Luckily for my sanity I found a new pair of these headphones for the bargain price of £16.99 from Amazon. I was so pleased because these headphones are one of the best I have ever heard and certainly up to at least £50.

These headphones have extraordinary bass performance for headphones so small. It's clear, crisp bass that is on offer here and you will never hear it strain with complicated bass led music like Massive Attack for instance.
It also has the subtle talent for vocals. You hear things that you would reasonably expect in a pair of speakers costing £150. There really is fantastic detail here and it is a real pleasure to listen to them.
The only slight drawbacks are that the cable is only 1.4m long. This though is easily sorted out with a headphone extension cable which you can buy for no more than about £5 and it is really worth it if you want to watch films or listen to music late at night and still want to hear everything.
And also these are not really good for outdoor listening due to the fact that they are not noise cancelling headphones. You can however pick up a pair of headphones from Sennheiser which are the noise cancelling version of these ones. If you are looking for a pair of quality headphones for around £30 then gives these a test, you won't be dissapointed by the sound they give.
Advantages: Crystal clear playback, comfortable to wear, low price, long lasting, plays back bass brilliantly Disadvantages: None
...for a set of black Sennheiser PX100 headphones was quite reasonable considering proper Apple headphones can cost upwards of £20.
What can I say about the way the headphones look that can’t be gathered from the picture above? Not much really. As you can see, the adjustable head strap keeps them secure to your head, with the fit being rather snug. There are not plastic bits that stick out into your head which is nice. I recall my first Walkman headphones ... ...stereo, I would suggest you wander on over the Sennheiser website, Amazon or eBay and pick up a pair of the PX100s. They are built to last and will improve your listening experience without annoying people around you. A set of headphones then for the music lover with a conscience. ...

Truly outstanding - there is no bass better than this for any headphones under 100 pounds and there is definitely no better bass in this price range. It uses special patent pending technology to create this awesome experience (bass damping and baffling I believe). The rest of the sound range is of a similarly high caliber, and there is no tinny or muddy noise here. You'll have to break in the headphones (blast some music out of them for a while) ... ...to my friend anyway. There is also no distortion, thanks to the neodymium magnets. === Comfort === This aspect is probably the only one that I think needs improvement - but that's what the PX200's are for. It fits comfortably on your head and the earcups fit reasonably well. They are rather flat so it will not be the best fit, and personally I find closed designs like the PX200 better and more efficient at canceling background noise. However, it ...

Advantages: Value, sound, durability, ease-of-transport Disadvantages: You can't wear a hat over it
I was looking for some new headphones to go with my iPod and I was inclined towards getting some Sennheisers. I eventually went for the PX200s instead of these, but I do have some experience with the PX100s because I regularly use my friend's headphones. They are 'open dynamic supra-aural mini headphones'.

Advantages: Incredible sound, comfortable, case included Disadvantages: Not as compact as earphones, not soundproof
Sennheiser have a great reputation for making great benchmark headphones, and this reputation is added to with the PX100. Given 5 star and rated as best budget headphones by 'What hi-fi?', I strong urge you to consider buying new headphones.
As the portable audio product market has become more price competitive, and the quality of sound has increased I have seen that companies are reducing the cost spent on headphones when they should be increased ... ...bought these Sennheiser PX100 6 months ago for my Apple ipod, 4th generation and have been delighted with them. The quality of earbuds that come with mp3 players for example, are adequate but you can improve your portable listening immensely with by purchasing this product. The quality of sound is signifcantly better than that supplied with the ipod, or sony mini discs. Clarity is greater, and there is a larger range, better for bass and tighter ...

Advantages: Sound quality, open back, fold quite small, comfortable Disadvantages: Do not fold as small as in ears.
...knew in the price range Sennheiser were among the best. So I had a look in my local HiFi dealer.
They had a reasonably selection of Sennheiser and in both black and white. The white pairs were £5 more than the black pairs for some mad reason or other.
Anyway I bought a pair of black Sennheiser PX100s.
They come in a nice case and fold up pretty small, the ear sections fold flat.
They are black with black foam, silver speaker backs and a spring ... ...so you can here what is happening around you.
They are comfortable to wear, even for a couple of hours. No pain compared to in ears!!!!
The sound quality is very good, much better than the in ear ones supplied with my HiMD portable, they go loud without distortion, too loud for me to find out!!!!
Mid range is very clear, highs are clear and go up to my hearing limit (about 16000Hz for me, good for mid 40s), lows are still pretty good, I guess ...

**Introduction**
After my pair of Goldring DR30's gave up on me after nearly two years of daily use I decided to look at Sennheiser for my next pair of headphones. I had previously owned a couple of pairs of SennheiserPX100's and was extremely pleased with their sound and the overall appeal of Sennheiser headphones. I was in my local HMV today when I decided to have a look at some of the headphones they had available and eventually chose these ones after a toss up between these and another couple of pairs of Sennheiser's.

These headphones are open designed and come with a gold headphone jack for plugging into amplifiers. They also come with a holder which means you can place your headphones on the holder to keep them where you choose. I had heard of these headphones before and thought they would be excellent headphones ...
Advantages: Sound Quality, Storage Capacity, Wonderful Aesthetics Disadvantages: No MP3 or WMA Playback
I have read through the other reviews on this product and most of them give a very comprehensive asessment of this players strengths and weaknesses. I think the overall consensus is that the lack of MP3 or WMA Playback on this player is a major downfall, especially as Sony devices have started supporting it. Though if you happen to stumble across this player at a very good price, then there are 10 things you should consider!
1. The Sound Quality is Superb
2. The in-ear phones are good, but not as good as the SennheiserPX100's I am now using.
3. Battery Life is very, very good. I use it for my journey to and from work and it lasts me all week. Have you seen the Volkswagen Diesel adverts??
4. It does not support MP3 or WMA and converting all your music in to Atrac is a pain in the bum. It is quite time consuming. If you are ...
Advantages: Sound Quality, Cheap on ebay and big hard drive. Disadvantages: Battery time
off as you don't need to change the sound for different genres as it sounds good whatever you play.
There is great detail and bass for what is really a lesser known player and with a good upgrade in Headphones. (I use SennheiserPX100's) you will notice what this Acer player is capable of, a natural sound with very good detail and a sound that is very engaging.
...Voice Recorder...
This player also has a voice recorder feature and from what I have heard from using it earlier today the sound sounds suprisingly clear as you would expect from one of the better known brands ie Apple, Samsung, Creative or Sony. The microphone is just beside the screen towards the top.
...The Battery...
This MP3 player comes With a built in Li-Ion battery or Lithium Ion given it's full name. The battery will give between 10 and 16 hours playback ...
