Advantages: They sound better than supplied headphones Disadvantages: The cost
...too, with that in mind SENNHEISER came up with a range of headphones to replace them.
The first of these models is an “in-ear” design, the model MX500 (r.r.p. £19.99) I found this particular design to uncomfortable to wear over long periods and the next ones in the range where more comfortable to wear over extended listening sessions and where very cool to look at with their retro looks with a supplied carrying box that ... ...into the case don’t worry SENNHEISER have thought of that, they have put a 4 step diagram on 1 side of the carrying case to remind you how to get them back in the protective box.
The folding design is great idea you always have “phones” in your pocket at the ready, I use them myself when I DJ, their light reinforced construction with ergonomic ear pads make them perfect for this use.
I don’t what it is but the manufactures of portable decks wither it be MP3, CD, DVD and handheld games systems the supplied “in-ear” headphones sound just awful and are quite painful to listen too, with that in mind SENNHEISER came up with a range of headphones to replace them.
The first of these models is an “in-ear” design, the model MX500 (r.r.p. £19.99) I found this particular design to uncomfortable to wear over long periods and the next ones in the range where more comfortable to wear over extended listening sessions and where very cool to look at with their retro looks with a supplied carrying box that looks like a sunglasses case but the PX100 (r.r.p. £24.99) design lacked the detailed sound with deep bass I was looking for.
The third model in the range is the PX200 (r.r.p. £29.99), these headphones look very similar to the PX100’s but this version is a “closed-back design” which means they sound a lot more dynamic and the wearer still gets a deep powerful BASS performance and people sitting next you in enclosed spaces don’t, which is always good because I don’t want too annoy my fellow passengers on public transport.
If folding design of these headphones puts you because you don’t think you will remember how to fold them back into the case don’t worry SENNHEISER have thought of that, they have put a 4 step diagram on 1 side of the carrying case to remind you how to get them back in the protective box.
The folding design is great idea you always have “phones” in your pocket at the ready, I use them myself when I DJ, their light reinforced construction with ergonomic ear pads make them perfect for this use.
For all you technical heads out there the data for this model of phones is as follows,
Frequency response 10 – 21,000 Hz. Impedance 32 Ώ. SPL (at 1 kHz, 1 Vrms): 115dB THD: 0.1%. Cable: 1.4mtr.
All the above information comes from the back of the blister – pack the headphones come in.
Before when I wore standard sized headphones while I was Djing the heat in venues such as pubs and hotels at the height of an evening festivities made my headphones very uncomfortable, full sized ear cups sticking to the side of your face and when you are taking your cans off and on all the time the weight of a standard headphone starts to annoy you, not only are the PX200’s more comfortable to wear over long periods in the heat of a venue they also sound better and in consequence my ears aren’t hurting at the end of the night, and you can still wear them going home in the van to chill out.
In closing I find these headphones very comfy to use and they sound superb no matter what I plug them in to, a real multi-purpose item, so if you enjoy your music on the move do yourself a favour invest in these babies.
The only problem is the cost, I paid £21.99 + postage and packing from a site on Ebay, but that was about a year ago so they are probably cheaper now happy searching and they have just released a white version to blend in with an ipod (r.r.p £37.00).
Advantages: Sound great Disadvantages: May feel cheap
What do you want in a good set of headphones, good sound, and a nice fit. Well these cover the nice fit, with extendable bands to match your head, and cusioned pads on the band so you dont feel any rubbing. The sound? that's covered too, these are over-ear headphones so they accomodate larger speakers, and much better base, than convensional in-ears, and the treble is just as good. Basically they sound great, especially when you consider the price ... ...expect to pay £60!
The ear pads are just as comfortable too, cusioned as you'd expect but they also fit well so you get less sound seeping out, and more is contained to travel to your ears and noone elses, which also means you don't hear much from the outside, no annoying children on the bus, or the sound of tracks in the tube. They come with a handy carry case to stop annoying wire tangles and it protects the headphones very well.
I will never ...

Advantages: Excellent sound reproduction, Lightweight Disadvantages: Case a bit flimsy
These sennheiser PX200 headphones are a pair of stereo headphnes with added bass boost. They give excellent sound reproduction, particularly with the bass frequencies, and no distorion of sound at high volumes. The gold plated stereo jack improves sound conductivity.
The headphones come complete with carry case for easy storage. The headphones fold into the case and when closed, the case can be carried easily in a pocket or elsewhere.
Getting the ... ...headphones is that they do seem a bit flimsy on the surface, especially the connections and hinges. However, this will turn out to be a false concern as Sennheiser are renowned for their quality as well as their technical provess.
My opinion, well worth their £23 price tag. ...

Advantages: Cheap, portable, excellent sound quality Disadvantages: cables are fragile (as with all headphones)
...after the cable on my sennheiser pmx200's (the backband version) broke. I actually much prefer the traditional over-the-head band style, although they don't look quite as good they are much more comfortable and don't move around when you put up a hood in the rain.
Sennheiser is a brand you know you can trust, they have an excellent reputation for their headphones and it is rightly deserved. The px200's are entry level, they can be purchased from ... ...The sound quality is excellent, they take about 20 hours of play before they are fully 'broken in', but after that the bass is rich and the sound significantly better than any headphone you will find supplied with your mp3 player.
They are lightweight and extremely portable, they even come with a sturdy plastic carry case which helps to protect the cable when they are not being used. The earphones are relatively small, they do not cover your entire ...

Advantages: Excellent value and supreme sound (esepcially bass) quality Disadvantages: You can't wear a hat over them without looking stupid
=== Sound Quality ===
First off - the AMAZING bass quality. My friend has a pair of PX100s and whilst they arguably have a better bass, the PX200 still outdoes everything in its price range. The rest of the sounds are fantastic and clearly defined and aren't just some muddy background noise - stands above the rest.
=== Comfort ===
'''NO''' compromise on comfort. The closed design ensures background noise reduction as well as making sure the user ... ...bus/train hearing what you're listening to. The headphones sit nicely on the head - I tend to wear them backwards, as it's more comfortable for me. The constant folding means the earcups dig in a bit into your head, so wearing the the wrong way round or a bit further back should curb this problem.
=== Ergonomics and Aesthetics ===
The only thing that I dislike about the earcups is that the headband connects on the outside of it, instead of joining ...

Advantages: Light compared to some of the other challenging MP3/Portable Hard-Drives out there, great design, good sound, big capacity, colour display, mouse wheel control, comes with dock! Disadvantages: Can be a pain trying to take some music off the iPod to other computers, Scratches easily, Rubbish earbuds!
The iPod has come a long way form its first few designs that sold like hotcakes then! NOW Apple are one step ahead with only a small number of competing products.
The iPod Photo has a great battery life and had great sound. Personally speaking, you must purchase an affordable pair of good headphones to use with. A good pair would be the SenheiserPX200s. (approx £30 on Amazon.co.uk)
The size of the iPod is a great bonus, meaning you can take it around with 10,001 songs in your pocket (at the Apple defualt size specified). Pretty light and has a beautiful colour display which also features a slideshow function so you can play your pictures with acompanied music on a T.V set. great to entertain guests at a party.

Advantages: The sound is mindboggling!! Disadvantages: The cost!!
him what I had just got my hands on (at nearly half the price I might add) "oh" he said, you will need a NAPSAC 2 "a what" I said, so much time had passed Naim had up-dated the required power supply I waited in the shop as the dealer son went to the shops store room to get the power supply, I paid for it with my flexible friend, on the drive back home my friend asked what's "that for" I told him, he said at last you got one! It had been a standing joke between my friends and I about Milt's Headphone Amp, was this at last the audio nirvana I had been seeking?
In a word no life is never that easy the last part of the equation had never entered my head the headphones.
What I had was not up to the task my sennhesier PX200 headphones sounded ok and are great for when I DJ but where not the listening standard I was looking for and the other ...
