Review of "Sennheiser RS 30"
Excellent it’s just as though they were a wired set of headphones, only without the wire. They really do work just like normal headphones.
The flat soft foam means that they mold round your ears and feel much better than the usual curved headphones. Personally I prefer small in-ear head phones, but I’ve not seen them wireless. This design gives you great comfort for the size of the headphones though.
LOOK AND DESIGN
They don’t look too much different from your usual headphones except you don’t have the wire. You do however have a batter mounted in one ear piece but it fits in like a glove and you don’t even really see it unless you are looking for it. So overall as good as any wired headphones.
My only concern is the battery part. It’s a special battery and needs to be removed to charge it rather than the RS45 model where it stays in. Due to this I’m not too sure how well this treats the battery terminals. But it should last fine, it has done no harm so far. The rest of the headset is fine and won’t break in normal use. However don’t leave them on the seat and sit on top of them.
VALUE FOR MONEY
Around about £70 they are more expensive than some Wireless headphones I’ve seen, however I believe you pay for the Sennheiser name on them. I mean you really can’t fault them. So all round they are great.
My only bug is having to remove the battery and place it in the charging cradle all the time. But so long as you do that you won’t have any problem. They come complete with a 3.5mm jack (standard headphone size) and a ¼ inch one too (the big size) making them compatible with pretty much everything. Just plug it in and go.
MY OVERALL OPINION
Get one and save tripping over that wire. Great for walking about and will work up to about 30 meters in a house, including though walls and ceilings.
