It was December before I discovered that I could take no more,I decided that as I couldn't get my machine fixed and couldn't fork out cash for a new one I had one option left open to me if I was to to avoid being driven insane by all this hand washing(no, I didn't decide to never wash my clothes again)

CREDIT!! I know!!,, its not something I like to do do but I just had to on this occasion. I went online to a well known online catologue store and was 99% expecting to be turned down flatly for credit as in the not too distant past I had been refused .....,something to do with the credit score or something.......????

Anyway -Browsed the store......saw a machine...Servis M6011 .....I was just looking for something affordable ,something that looked ok had a standard specification-nothing to technical just something that washes your clothes-I mean, mood I was in ,anything would do!!! But no there were a few that made it to my final list and finally I narrowed it down to one -the M6011. It came in at £219.00 if interest free,I chose that option worked out about £4/£5 a week for a year.

I thought that this was one or to steps up from the very lowest budget machines it looked a little nicer with the green light buttons(very important you know) and slightly rounded /curves rather then all bulky and ugly it had a slightly more modern homely look. This machine is in white which is pretty standard for most machines.

And yes you've guessed -I was approved for credit on this occassion,so it was an early christmas present for me excellent!!

The machine arrived within about a week which was good as it stated 10 days - 2 weeks on the checkout.

So its arrived safely -I opted to connect it myself as I did my last one myself so was feeling pretty confident about it. First was the un-packing then taking out the transit bolts -following all the un-packing and conecting instructions had to be the best bet! So I'd got it all connected-fairly straight forward as taps and pipes and all were already in place. Made sure no leaks,plugged in and off we go for a trial run...

The manuel recommends a quick cycle on empty intially to wash away all the factory dust etc in the drum.

Next it was to get started on the pile of washing that was now really near to the ceiling(as i'd just about given up on doing more then a couple of items by hand at a time-all that wringing...!!!)

Included with the handbook was a Programme guide which guides what temperatures you should use for diff types of materials and how much you should put into a load so that it is not over-loaded or under-loaded,as it warns that either of those could cause noisy spinning.

I thought i'd mention about the spinning-now it could be me or there could be an underlying fault which is hasn't been discovered yet but the spin does seem to be really noisey in comparison to my old machine,I know that specification wise it is faster then my old one and so have put it down partly to this,also the fact that I don't really calculate the loads going in and this could also be causing the extra noise as on some washes it does seem a little quieter.I decided to monitor for changes and stick with it as it washes the clothes well and dosn't seem t be having problems anywhere else.(just have to live with the sound of a helicoptor taking off everytime it spins)

The machine is fairly straight forward to use/setting programmes etc.
The dial is marked-cottons-synthetics-delicates with variable temperatures for each type
-cottons temp 30-90
synthetics temp 30-60
-delicates temps cold,30-40

plus you have

-handwash
-quickwash
-coldwash
-rinses
-pump+spin

other options are selected using the options buttons which light up when selected.The options are:
-Wash plus -this extends the washing time for heavily soiled clothes.adds 20-30 mins
-pre-wash -this button gives the washing a short pre wash before going on to normal cycle.this takes about 10 mins and can only be used on COTTON and SYNTHETIC cycles.The pre wash washing powder compartment must be used in addition to the normal one for this option.
-no spin- this option when selected means that the washing will be washed and rinsed but not spun-Ideal for drip dry clothes.
-Start-This is pretty self explainitry,you press this button once you've sellected which programme and options you want and then its time for the off!

The washing machine like most has a timer on the door to stop it from beiing opened during a wash or immediately after.(for about a minute after cycle is completed)

Well hopefully I have shown that using the machine has been straight forward enough for me nothing scary involved!

All in all -I am pleased with my purchase apart from the 'noise' which I will get to the bottom of eventually as to whether it is normal or not. If any of you're reading this and have this model ,perhaps we could compare notes...!!
